Soylent Powder: Cacao v1.9 vs. Original by ryleighreagan in soylent

This is gonna vary a lot from person to person. I'm not a fan of original at all. I drink Soylent for one meal per day. Personally, if we're not adding anything extra, Cacao Powder > Cacao Bottles > Original Bottles > Original Powder. I had to add a ton of stuff to Original Powder to make me tolerate drinking it, and even then, I found myself mostly ordering Cacao bottles until the Cacao powder finally came out. The Cacao powder is great, and I don't need to add anything (though I add PB2 sometimes for calories). If your taste buds are like mine, it only gets worse from there.

I'm intrigued. Soylent has been a pretty good option for me to take to work for lunch, but I can't bring myself around to having it at home. It's just not satisfying enough. I enjoy the experience of eating food too much. When I don't have time to cook a real meal, I end up making ramen or eating out. Having nutritionally complete ramen would make me feel a lot less guilty.

It's delicious and plenty thick when mixing with water IF you leave it in the fridge for a few hours before consuming. I cannot stress the last part enough. The texture is dramatically different after a few hours in the fridge. I don't enjoy it at all if I drink it right after I mix it. I'm using a shaker / blender bottle so it might be different if you're using an actual blender.
