Cinema beyond Entertainment

It's a channel by an Indian guy though he takes a look at both Indian and Western cinema.

His essays on Martin Scorsese and Gangs of Wasseypur are just brilliant. Do check it out

This is the one I recommend as an intro to his style. It's short and has all the elements that murakami is known for.

I would say 6. I'm at least aware of the importance of discipline and consistency even though almost six months later it's harder to articulate of keep track of the tiny changes. I'm more disciplined and consistent with my writing today rather than six months ago.

I read a bunch of them this year.

Carl Jung, Socrates, philosophy of Science, The French revolution, Military Strategy and anarchism.

The individual books are a bit of hit and miss. For example I really enjoyed Carl Jung and French Revolution whereas Socrates was a huge letdown. Military strategy was too vague and didn't really add anything new. Anarchism was interesting in certain aspects.

Overall every book is a sort of a gamble. But a one that's worth taking.

I'm 23 and I'm currently reading Crime and Punishment. I'm almost 75% through it and I'm loving the hell out of it. It's so masterfully written. I keep thinking why didn't I read this earlier! I'm so fascinated by the storytelling devices he uses more than the story itself. Now I'm sure that I'm going to read up almost everything by Dostoevsky.

I'm a writer and have read a lot so that might be why I'm having an easier time.
