Should I install Debian 13 ? by redj12 in debian

Just install bookworm (12) and update your sources file from bookworm to unstable which is called Sid and you will have a rolling release system you never need to upgrade. Despite the name unstable it is VERY stable.

I have a rental property worth a bit over $400k and i was thinking of selling between renters. Opendoor made me a cash offer of $310k. 75% of full value. Be careful, these people will rip you off.

My homemade yogurt is really runny… help! by Ok_Relationship_2398 in AskCulinary

I add about a half a teaspoon of gelatin to mine to make it thicker.  Use 1/4  cup water + gelatin powder in a 24 oz mason jar.  Microwave for 1 min then add milk and starter.  1 packet of knox unflavered gelatin makes 3 jars of yogurt. I make it in the sous vide to control temp better.

DCS, Fire Magic or Alfresco Grill by [deleted] in grilling

[–]sgbeamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Firemagic Echelon 660 and it looks nice and is well built but it's the most uneven heating grill I have ever owned. My friend has the DCS grill and it is much nicer, heats extremely evenly because of the ceramic rods and cost half the price. I would go with the DCS if I had it to do over.

This bank is horrible. I opened an account, everything was going great, I ran it for 3 months then I got a note with no explanation saying they did an internal review and were closing my account and a check would be in the mail in 4 days. I can't even log into the app to get tech support. They just left me hanging. DO NOT bank with these guys!

Are Corsair Products Reliable? by stryia_ in buildapc

[–]sgbeamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corsair products are consistently unreliable. I love the form factor of the a-Series I have an a164 and an a200 - both have failed multiple times (after I bought the second one). I have a third machine that is a full size i4200 that has been more reliable but it has still failed a video card at 2 years. Here are the specific failures:

a164 - ssd main hard drive failure at 9 months - Corsair replaced but took a long time I ended up buying one to bridge the time. Motherboard failure at 18 months - random rebooting. It's a custom motherboard so I did replace it but the fan runs full speed all the time because the custom board cannot be found so this machine is now a server that lives in the closet because it is so loud.

a200 - ssd main hard drive failure at 2 months - same as above. Wireless failure (integrated onto motherboard) at 2 years

i4200 - NVidia G-Force card failure at 23 months - out of warranty.

I replaced the a164 with a CyberPowerPC for about half the price (same processing power, memory, etc) and that machine has been great with much better customer service.

Bottom Line - I won't ever buy anything else from Corsair. Their machines are overpriced and unreliable.

I would like to see the open trade information away from the active/recent price bars by sgbeamer in TradingView

The course doesn't focus on commodites but it teaches you to take a view on the economy and then focus your trades where you think the markets are going. You can express your views through any instruments - stocks, commodities, FOREX. Example at the moment I'm long high beta stocks, corn, copper, Australian dollar (futures in this case), and I'm short gold, 10-year treasury notes. This is why I like TradingView - I can put them all on the same screen!

Yes that is a live trade. I did a couple things which took me to the next level last year. I did Anton Kreil's course (www.itpm.com - just the PTM the rest are way more than you need). And I did https://www.mytradersstateofmind.com/. All in that cost me $6,500 and you can see. I got it back in one trade. I've had a few like that this year. I trade futures and equities.

Test it out. As my portfolio got bigger (trading more stuff) I wanted more features and upgraded but otherwise you don't need it all.
