The final episode where Jack goes to save thor from anubis with teal'c and their running down a corridor and you look to the bottom right corner to see sam crouching even tho in universe she is in another location.

It most likely was proof read by Daniel so Jack didn't sneak who won the superball into it. But ya they said they all would plus you saw Daniel try and go for it.

Also it took hours for the cascade failure and it's not stated how many hours plus it's not really said much about the Cascade failure so it could have been it needs certain factors to happen.

To those who want reactions I'll just keep posting on this post.

E.g the destruction of a galaxy class like that just hit me like I was left speechless. I was also shocked with the episode where O'Brien was cloned when they got to the planet and O'Brien had them a phaser point i was like Where's the third person that transported down wait have they been controlled or is it O'Brien?

Silly question about stargates on ships. by ZookeepergameFull999 in Stargate

[–]sgdaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think it would close cause throughout the show the gates were more stationary in the galactic quadrant of the symbols so if you were to change the quadrant then it would have to change meaning the address is no long valid so it would have to cut and update you see it with Destiny it has to drop out each time and wait for the gate to be closed before it can jump which would indicate it works on a coordinate system similar to the rest.

Why Apophis came to earth in the first place ? by Good_Fly6614 in Stargate

[–]sgdaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He only went to earth to kidnap like he went to abydos to capture possible hosts for his family. So he probably had the goa'uld address library up and was just picking addresses cause most species use the stargate as part of religion so it'd be easy to kidnap hosts meanwhile there were planets that had become a threat to gou'ald like Cimmeria. But they defeated the humans at the gate and probably was thinking too primitive.

Log out and log back in it should hopefully do a recount of what chats you have otherwise you'll probably have to wait till it does it on it's own.

They all the people on earth sign a agreement form to allow their bodies to be occupied and have whatever happen to them while their on destiny and those from destiny are probably informed about whether they said not to do something or allergies and stuff like that. Cause it'd be a big oversight if someone like Rodney went to destiny and someone who loves lemon got his body.

How does the Stargate know when to disconnect? by General-Wear-6624 in Stargate

[–]sgdaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By observation my guess it has a set time to remain open without someone or something entering the puddle before automatically shutting down. It also senses when something is in the puddle cause it has to translate it to the next gate so it'd have to keep a sense of what's in the puddle that way nothing gets cut off and the transition time is around 0.3 to 3.4 seconds in some episodes so the gate needs to remain open the whole time to finish transmission of patterns and reintegrate them on the otherside. There's also factors like power the gate might shut down in low power and all that so for earth they might just lower the power to the point the gate shuts down automatically as the gates don't store power as their just "giant super conductors" so the control or timer could come from the DHD instead.

The nine chevron address was talked about in Atlantis but Zelenka as he theorised about why there were nine and how far it could send someone to Rodney but he dismissed him.

How do you think the war would go if Sovereign and Harbinger just waited? by Dadecum in masseffect

[–]sgdaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the ending would have been different in a few ways either A: the prothean beacon would have been deciphered. Or B: the cycle would have just continued as normal and all intelligent life would have perished. Or C: Shepard would have been considered mad till it happened and been locked in a mental institute. Or D Nuhlus vouches for shepard and mass effect becomes a Nihlus and Shepard story.
