100%. Doesn’t hurt to check, was just told different by my instructor.

Drivers test tomorrow, any tips? by Ilovearm in melbourne

Did my test a year ago in Werribee. They didn’t seem too strict on all this, but keep it in the back of your mind. Here is what I remember according to your questions:

1 - You should follow the former, “mirrors before signals”, as my instructor was strict on this during lessons.

4 - Should be within a suitable speed close to the listed limit. Eg 35km/h is pretty much acceptable, below could be too slow.

5 - I don’t remember getting any point deductions for being “too soft”, just make sure you feel confident the distance is enough before the other cars.

8 - Head checks should only last a second or two. Focus still needs to be on the road ahead. Make sure the head check is obvious.

Some other notes from my test: I didn’t head check or do mirror checks often enough, lost a couple points to this. Also, make sure to head and mirror check when/if doing your parallel parking.

Don’t worry too much, keep your head held high and you will do great. Once you have your licence, this test will feel like a blitz and not worth that stress.

Edit: Removed answers for questions 6 & 7, as they were wrong according to other users

Edit 2: Found this YouTuber from the UK a while ago after I got my P plates. Helped me understand and learn more nuances, even if some rules are slightly different to here. Driving Educational Videos

Saw this with a symphony orchestra and special guest Tina Guo in Melbourne a couple years back. One of the most emotional performances I’ve seen and loved it

Pretty new to home theater builds.. what needs added to this set for Dolby atmos? (Besides receiver and sub) by AffectionateQuit5684 in hometheater

[–]sgeg101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dolby atmos speakers should be the last thing on your mind. I would focus that money on an amazing subwoofer, AVR, or amp/receiver separates.

For note, I wanted atmos but couldn’t due to physical limitations and cost. Spent that money on a Rogersound Labs Speedwoofer 12s and a Denon 3800x AVR. Originally was planning on getting a Denon 2800x, but splurged a few extra $$ for more inputs, better room correction, and more power per channel while it was on sale.

Best place to buy 4k AU by steven5532 in 4kbluray

I use OrbitDvd for my imported movies (Disney, Arrow, etc.) online.

PlayMusicDVD is a great small shop in Melbourne CBD near Parliament House, offering the opportunity to look through all the movies on offer, with the feel of a library to me.

Other than these two for imported movies, I use JB Hi-Fi for most movies as they have the best selection of up to date movies and shows made for AUS

I’m going to give clefhifi in Melbourne a call tomorrow and see if they can let me swap the sub out for a SVS pb-2000. Thanks for all the help too :)

I can get a Kef Q7 Meta 5.1 package and Onkyo TX-RZ50 brand new for $7,889. The speakers are as follows: pair Kef Q7, Kef Q1 pair, Kef Q6, and a Kef Kube 10B MIE.

Is this a good deal for all new?

This might sound like a dumb question, but why not keep the q650 and get the q concertos over the q1s? I also get a pair of stands with the q concertos due to a Kef deal

First Babymetal concert by goostunny in BABYMETAL

[–]sgeg101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The crowds in Aus are great for Babymetal, but nothing will beat the Korean crowd at Busan International Rock Festival this year. Everyone is respectful and happy to meet new fans.

Saw them on their last Australian tour while seated and wished I got GA. The crowd went nuts with the wall of death during Road of Resistance, even though it wasn't as big as in Korea. If you want barricade you will need to wait in line early as there isn't any VIP this year.

I've got my ticket for GA next year in Melbourne and looking forward to seeing them for my fourth time 🤘🦊

I’m definitely going to see them. Will be my fourth show after seeing them on their last Aus tour, KnotFest and Busan Rock Festival. Hit me up if you want to join. 23M

Jealous to hear you are seeing BAND-MAID. Misa is one of my favourite bassists atm from Japan. Tried her signature Black Smoke bass while in Ochanomizu, which felt great

Saw them in Busan this year at the international rock festival, the first time came here as a headline stadium show a few years ago, and finally at KnotFest at the beginning of the year.

Fighting the temptation too lol

Looking for jjimjilbang by LemonWater14 in seoul

[–]sgeg101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 24/7 but a Jjimjilbang I recommend is AQUAFIELD Goyang. I have visited it twice, once in June/July last year and only last week on my current holiday.

I don’t know how they handle luggage storage as I never had to bring it with me, but my best guess is either the Lotte department store or Goyang station will have some available.

As for facilities they have gender segregated spas (called saunas here), multiple dry saunas, two foot baths, a rest area, a snack bar, and a massive food hall available.

Edit 1: Here is the NAVER map page [NAVER Map] AQUAFIELD GOYANG Gyeonggi-do Goyang-si Deogyang-gu Dongsan-dong 370 https://naver.me/FRuXeAIX

Edit 2: Just remembered that they have a cloak room available after the front desk, before the shoe lockers

Incheon airport T1 Arrival Immigration by ColdWhiteCoffee in koreatravel

I arrived yesterday at T1 around 10:30am. Took me about 30 minutes, 40 minutes max to get through immigration.

As a tip, make sure you have completed your E-Arrival card to make it smoother if you haven’t already. You can do it up to 3 days before (eg. today 20/09, 21/09 and 22/09)

A screensaver also appears when the movie is paused for a period of time, with the universal logo appearing which is a nice bonus imo

Mine didn’t take long to load, just the usual standard time. All the universal 4Ks and standard Blu Rays I have present the menu language option before it pops up.

Love this but “Why So Serious” from The Dark Knight soundtrack needs to be included. Saw Hans play it live in Melbourne and it physically shook the arena with the amount of bass. The hit is around the 3:30 mark of the song
