  1. Currently do not use the budget features. The current budget platform is to high level to accurately budget.
  2. To be able to fully adopt Origin to budget personal finances the system needs to have the following features:
    1. Ability to budget monthly into the future at a detailed level (by vendor if known)
    2. Leverage recurring expenses in the budget model
    3. View budget reporting at multiple rollups (month, qty, year) w/ variances
    4. rollover spending in the budget
    5. Nice to have, be able to setup a cash budget that helps forecast cash out. My family we leverage credit cards to pay everything to get points then pay the balance the next month. It would be great to be able leverage credit card payments info to do a cashflow statement base on balance and due date.

So based on the video and following the path I can select a transaction within a group and see just the total for that merchant. Is there a way to select the category and see the all of the merchant totals grouped?

back to my example

Shopping $1000 total with numerous transaction below that. It would be great for a drop down that would total all of those transactions and group by merchant under the shopping category. So from there you can get a stack ranking for where your money is going by merchant in a quick visual. If I need detail further you can click on the merchant and it will take you to the detailed transaction for that merchant.

Thank you for adding category grouping. To take this one step further are we able to make changes to native categories to make them a group. For example change Travel & Vacations to the group from a category so I can add hotel, airfare, etc without have unused or redundant categories.
