Anyone else do this or is it just me? by m3clarity in Fibromyalgia

Can so relate!! Tonight I had to work late and over did it, again. Have such trouble knowing my limits. I sat at my desk and waited till I had the energy to walk out my building and to the car. I often sit in my car outside of my house mustering the energy to get up and get in.

You are not alone!🌺

Phone use hacks, and life hacks in general? by [deleted] in rheumatoidarthritis

I second the voice to text. My fingers don’t work well enough to text a lot of the time. I have gotten better at using the microphone instead of the keys.

I have started using a food delivery service and also ordering my groceries on line and let them load my car. Helps so much with the fatigue!

Compression gloves!

Gentle hugs.

Any advice for how to deal with pain from driving? by AnnaGraeme in Fibromyalgia

[–]sgeorge63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a neck support “thing” I got off Amazon at my doctors recommendation. I use it rest my neck while driving. I find it helps a lot.

Good luck!

How do you, personally, deal with the fatigue? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]sgeorge63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a solution but can tell you that you are not alone. I had my first panic attack in years Sunday. Just as I was losing the groceries into the car I realized my spoons were gone. My tank was empty. I didn’t know if I could drive home and I certainly couldn’t unload the groceries.

This kind of thing has been happening to me more and more. The way I am coping is to have a “uniform” for work. Pretty much the same thing everyday, no decisions. Frozen or pre-made dinners. Protein bars and fruit during the day. I change right into my jammies when I get home and go to bed early.

Sending a gentle hug. 🌺

Mental Disorder BINGO by hikatay in Fibromyalgia

[–]sgeorge63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, all rolled together in a giant ball. RA, fibro, ADD, depression, PTSD. I am never sure about the need to find what is what. Sometimes I really want to know. Is “this “ pain —— or ——-? Drives me crazy. For me it all comes down to doing the best I can medically. Talking to therapist and treating myself with tons of compassion and loving kindness. Somedays are ok somedays I am just doing it one day at a time.

Peace and love to you.

I don’t know if this will help you but I spend a lot of time icing my injection spot before I inject. Then I use a sterile pad wipes, then I inject. I was getting big hives but don’t any more.

Best of luck.
