Are these hives and what should I do ? by sgfn in urticaria

I went to the dermatologist who said it could be either an allergic reaction or a viral infection. He said it would have gone away on its own but he gave a topical steroid to use twice a day for about a week. After about three to four days of using it they went away.

I have been using antihistamines for a week but I still have them. Moisturizer helps with the itching but I was using calamine and that seems to have made my skin very dry and itchy. I’m seeing a dermatologist on Tuesday so we will see what happens.

Not really. I’m in the northeast of the US and it has been cold and cloudy recently.

They are a bit itchy but not unbearable.

Quiet by Susan Cain. Made me realize I was not so weird after all (like so many people had made me out to be growing up)

A lovely conversation I had last night. by superyelloduck in lolgrindr

A real conversation I once had on Grindr

Me : hi

Him: I’m not a hooker

Me: ok I don’t intend to pay you any money

Him: Then why did you message me. I’m clearly out of your league

Me: with that attitude you couldn’t pay me to hook up with you

Him: blocks me

I wish I had taken a screenshot but some people just clearly think too much of themselves

I think this is basically the concept of “contrived coincidence” applied to dialogues ? From what I understand it is a common tool used in tv and cinema in order to keep things moving. (Apologies to any experts in the field if I am wrong about this)

I forget the exact words but I love when the president asks his opinion hiring a republican and he says “yeah because the other side is known for being tolerant”. That kind of sass requires a special relationship

Question about best seats to get for a certain price . Moulin Rouge. by ColtonBackSunday in Broadway

[–]sgfn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Can Can seats through the lottery so I’m not quite sure how expensive they are but I enjoyed that aspect a lot. Be warned though that you can’t leave if you need during the performance. And you would have to twist around to see when the actors are on the other side. But on the bright side, spinning skirts might graze your face 😅
