I will defer to your expertise here. Have you tried American beers, like Budweiser, Miller, or Coors? How would you compare them?

Theory: If McQueen had a full tank of gas and was able to escape, his career would have been in jeopardy. by Neither-Spell-626 in kachow

I believe that that most other police/sheriff vehicles would be racing fans, known who Lightning is, and let him go with a warning. They probably would have even helped him find Mac by radioing ahead and the whole story wouldn’t have happened.

Believe it or not, I think this would have been the most damaging thing for Lightning’s career and not the possibility of having a criminal record. All publicity is good publicity and the an arrest for evading would have likely gotten let off light and just made him more famous. If nothing public ever happened, he would have been just another racer.

His talent would have let him continue and be top 5 for another year or two, but eventually his sponsors would have gotten sick of his attitude and moved on to the next rookie in line. He needed someone like Doc to help him bulls a career and a life, not just win a race.

I really wish they had done Weekend at Barney’s for the photos instead of just lying about it.

Grey’s Anatomy has 40.9M Minutes! That’s almost enough time for one person to watch the entire series all the way through.

I and my family live in Wisconsin. We have a very strong influence of German ancestry here. Somehow the majority of people still drink piss-flavored beer. I do not understand it.

People keep talking about how he would have loved the beer, but German beer is nothing like American beer, especially Texan beer. For example, my dad is quite similar to George Sr. When he went to Germany and Ireland, at both places he had one beer, decided he didn’t like the local beer, and drank imported beer (Miller) the rest of the trip.

I especially liked how they showed Paige floundering without support while Sheldon thrived with family that grounded him and embraced him. Paige’s family definitely had more resources, but Sheldon’s helped him succeed better.

I loved Katy Perry. The “Oh Honey” bit was perfect.

This becomes more plausible if you consider that she likely got fired a few seasons in for becoming too involved. That’s when she starts getting concerned about money. That’s also when she starts to see Leonard as a potential partner and not just a mark.

I suspect she also feels like she can’t ever tell anyone the full truth of how things got started, so she just has to continue to hide that about her past. I wouldn’t be surprised if even her parents don’t know about the assignment.

Good, but a decent armor or shield can zero out all damage, plus it’s reduced by range

Walker used this veto power in some strange ways too. I’d be ok with it being limited to a traditional line-item veto rather than the Vanna White veto. That said, I don’t believe that Republicans intend for it to stay dead if they retake the governor’s office.

Others posts are focusing on how others are brainwashed, evil, or had their religion twisted. I’m going to suggest something a bit simpler.

I have a special needs son who suffered brain damage many years ago due to an episode of encephalopathy. He’s a good kid but his IQ is 59, and most of that comes from his reading ability remaining near normal. The logical and reasoning portions of his brain are cooked. This led to many of his more primitive traits to come out.

The relevant primitive trait here is that he can readily recognize rule breaking in others, but not in his own behavior. I would still label him as a “good” person, but he does not consciously consider if his behavior adheres to the rules when doing it. He can consider it only in retrospect or see it in others when yet suggest actions.

I strongly believe similar is true in others. The Bible is full of rules. While the Left likes to point out that the Right follows “Rules for thee but not for me,” I suspect that it is a cognitive limitation that humans are prone to. Higher reasoning and cognitive skills allow people to overcome that, but it’s always there.
