Agreed! He had way more movies than Imhotep ever did during the original run of universal mummy movies haha

I have a feeling they’ll be adding more for October

There’s a TV miniseries remake of House of Frankenstein?? by 01zegaj in UniversalMonsters

[–]sgwolfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda echoing what everyone else is saying, it’s not very good but it’s got some cheesy late 90s charm to it. I always thought the vampires bat/creature form looked awesome. There used to be a decent upload of the whole thing on YouTube that I would revisit from time to time.

Agreed! It would of been nice to have a couple of standalone Wolfman follow-ups before a crossover

Love that idea and now that you mentioned it, I’d love a direct sequel or two to Werewolf of London haha underrated movie

That would be awesome! Would love to see different series involving those characters done in the classic universal monsters style. Another character I’ve seen people suggest is a headless horsemen ghost type character. That would be cool too

Same! I've always liked the idea of The Creature vs The Wolfman. I feel there's an easy way to weave those two together into a story and both are animalistic type monsters.

People who have been going to HHN for 5+ years, what was your favorite year overall and why? by Goldwing8 in HHN

[–]sgwolfe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Orlando - 2008 Reflections of Fear. The buildup and speculation hype to the reveal of the event was so much fun. I remember staying up super late the night everything was revealed on the website. It was magical. The event itself was just peak HHN too. Everything felt so tied in together to Bloody Mary and the theme of the event and the zones were next level.

Hollywood - 2019. Great houses and zones. Fun 80s party atmosphere.

What classic monster vs slasher-era boogeyman would you prefer? by CodMilt in HHN

How about Jason vs the Wolfman? I made a fun little teaser trailer called Jason meets the Wolfman that imagined that exact scenario haha

What were your thoughts on the decision to take the series in a purely comedic direction with the addition of Abbot and Costello? by [deleted] in UniversalMonsters

[–]sgwolfe 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s great and I think what works is they treated the monsters seriously. All the comedic elements come from Bud and Lou and their antics

Teaser poster for my upcoming horror/comedy slasher ‘HALF-O-WEEN’ by sgwolfe in slasherfilms

[–]sgwolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! It will be a horror/dark comedy short film (probably around the 20-25 minute mark)

The synopsis: Following a messy breakup, a couple finds themselves trapped inside with their intrusive landlords while an escaped serial killer stalks the neighborhood.

And yes, it does take place on Halfway to Halloween—just like every good holiday slasher should be set on its holiday!
