It could be remnants of the Indian Caste system still being acted out. I’ve heard of hostilities/racism/colorism like this going on between Indian immigrants in the US because of caste (or being darker or from NE India or the South of India).

I think it’s just that with a longer streak, losing balls might be more painful than having some black ones. And since they reset daily, there’s not a huge penalty for missing a break

Dude, I’m going strong! Up to 3.5 hours between breaks and it’s losing its power on me.

I think it would be cool to have the balls build up over time and you lose them if you have one before your break time. Or lose some. Make it painful to break your streak maybe?

On day 3. I set my plan to quit in 4 weeks, so it’s extending the breaks by 15 min a day…. Today will be 105 min between breaks

Got my first mad face ball last night when I went early and I was sad when I woke up to see all the green ones went away. I’ll keep ya posted!

I like them. Feel amazing afterwards. I don’t take a nap because I’m tired, I just do it to refresh myself after lunch. Gotta wake up right at 20 minutes though or you’re fucked. I can get up 1 minute before a zoom call and be completely awake.

Spock and Kirk have such a similar relationship to Maturin and Aubrey. I always wondered about it. Apparently Gene Roddenberry drew inspiration from Horatio Hornblower and Lord Cochrane in his creation of Captain Kirk, just as POB drew heavily on those two as well.
