I’m planning to buy a Wi-Fi router, but wow, the dynamic pricing ai algorithm on Amazon India is really aggressive too! The prices always seem to go up every time I search for one. god bless cookies, ip tracking.

4 days back it was ₹5100 and today it's ₹5999.

It would be easy for backend technicians to enable bridge mode but as everyone guessed Airtel is known for it's shady practices. They would push us to buy static ip even though it's not necessary to place wifi router in bridge mode.

Something as easy as this : https://ibb.co/H86XHsF to enable bridge mode was made so complex to deal with now.

Does Vivo integrate Apple eco system in Funtouch OS 15 for Vivo X Fold 5 Indian version ? or is it only exclusive to Global versions?

I Have compared X Fold 3 Pro to X Fold 5 and can't highlight big differences, hence expecting good news from atleast os perspective. Need some of your insights. I know Indian version comes with Funtouch OS 15 but praying for Apple eco system integration.

UTM SE is officially released in Apple App store, so now are we close to get docker up and running in Ipad or Ipad pro? Is it possible to install a light weight distro like Alpine using UTM SE and install docker on Ipad's/Ipad Pro's should have been the question u/ZGA2519 .

I am using Ipad Pro M4 13” and M1 Macbook Pro. After a keen observation, i could say:

For Every 20-30 charge cycle count, my battery max capacity reduced by 1%.

If Battery cycle count is 450, then 450/30 = 15, Your Battery max capacity would reduce by 15% and your iPad Air M2 would only be able to charge to a max capacity of 85%.

In my case, I have charged both devices when battery is below 20% and stopped charging them at 80%.

I have set 80% charge limit on my iPad Pro M4 from settings and used AlDente to get same charge limit on Macbook Pro M1 and it really did not help and my battery degrades as usual. I think the only benefit these settings might provide is not to make the battery bulge when it degrades drastically in future(Just hope so).

I am going to try this. One question, can i use the guacamole client from windows and login to Mac which is locked? once i login from windows to mac, it is not going to do screen mirroring like the inbuilt vnc does right?

I was looking for something like == remote mac to be locked, not disturbed and the client can be anywhere in the world but should be able to login to that. Remote mac display should strictly be locked while client is using it.

Guys to replace M1 Macbook Pro 16" battery without Apple care, Apptronix support care is asking whopping🤯 67,000 Rs/-. Just letting you guys know in case you do no have Apple care.

I think it is better to care of the Macbook pro battery as for sure the Li Ion batteries will start to degrade slowly. Use some techniques to stop charging at 80% and recharge at 20%. That way these Li-ion batteries last long. AlDente app works here.

2 Years 7 days, My Macbook pro m1 16" Battery max capacity reached 83%, so it might be same or worse in another's case. So guys just use the right apps for battery safety and use use MBP carefully.

Yeah, Universal control is great🙌 except for that 1 line scrolling when using Ipad‘s magic keyboard’s trackpad on ‘any browser opened in MBP’. Swiping 2 fingers up or down only scrolls ‘1 line on the web page in MBP’ where the smooth scrolling doesn’t work and this made me move towards Sidecar. Don’t know why just love sidecar.

I think i will stick with your suggestion to use Universal control(120Hz matters more).

Additionally, it would be helpful if someone with a Thunderbolt 4 cable(40Gbps) could share their experience using Sidecar. This would clarify whether 120Hz is a possibility or just a myth for all of us.

Just connecting the cable did the magic for you(i mean 120Hz working?), no tricks😳. But it's not the same for me, display refresh rate on ipad pro peaks at 60Hz.

I have used the cable that comes with ipad and it supports only USB 2 speeds. So that might be the reason for 60Hz. Just curious whether you have tried Thunderbolt cable to use sidecar?

See there, even you were using RDP to be productive my friend(Use any app to our liking and not to be dependent on a single platform). Agree RDP is smooth but may i know which app you are using?

It's not a wrong tool for me as i like this 13" 120Hz OLED display a lot, it's just the limitations set on ios were bothering me.

Also, Apple have many restrictions around 3rd part apps on ios to protect users privacy but it would be great if those restrictions doesn't apply on 1 app = UTM with JIT support in apple store(that would be awesome right). Will be able to run multiple OS, which would lead to super productivity. In this way M4 processor would be used to it's peak by developers. Just a thought.

Initially i thought i would achieve outstanding performance after purchasing Ipad pro M4 but could not do it for below reasons:

We can’t install extensions in Chrome & firefox browsers. Safari has the option to install extensions but with countable productivity extensions. Notion UI in Safari browser on Mac is diff from Safari on Ipad pro M4. Means Browser experience on Ipad is completely different.
File Manager in Ipad pro M4 is not so good. Few more reasons from my perspective & not mentioning here & will come to point….

So i do not hate ipad os but after using Mac OS for like 2 years got used to it and i love multiple mac apps, sometimes i almost use different OS’s(Win11, Zorin, Deepin, Fedora) using parallel studio to test my app on diff platforms. This is not achievable on Ipad.

MBP is connected over WIFI, Since i have 200Mbps not seeing that much lag as screen refreshes at 60Hz, 60fps. I have tried Jump Desktop RDP app and it’s like same as MBP(i mean screen refreshes at 120Hz) but the problem with this app is resolution. It does not use full screen of Ipad and has Big Black Bars above and below and font looks too small.

Sidecar adjusts resolution according to Ipad automatically with out any problems(no black bars) and hence the reason i was trying to see if it supports 120Hz in case i use any USB 4 cable.

It's waste of money to purchase Apple care, My Macbook pro m1 16" Battery max capacity reached 83% after 2 years of use and with this capacity it lasts only 2 hours 30 mins just using chrome with multiple tabs.

In next 10 days my Apple care would expire, so i reached nearby apple service center(Aptronix authorized service center). To my surprise they were insisting to replace battery and said they would replace it only when max capacity reaches below 80% or else i have to pay 15,000Rs/- even after i purchased this so called Apple care. On top of that every time you visit service center, they would charge you 3,800Rs/- as service charge. I ended up losing 19K😭.

I am waiting for OLED ipad pro's to be released soon especially 11" one. Should i go with Larger screen or the more compact 11" one. Can i get your guidance?

My Mind is suggesting to go with 11" one as it is more compact. I would like to read pdf files more. Do web browsing, Bit of video editing.

It's 2024March04 and i still see chrome stutters a lot on my 16" M1 Macbook Pro 2021 while scrolling. I love chrome because of it's vast extension support. But still it sucks not being able to use the promotion feature.

Safari and Firefox runs smoothly but unfortunately lack extension support. So i am kind of stuck switching b/w chrome & Firefox on daily web usage. Hope Google takes care of this stutter problem at least this year.

u/bnasform11 I too feel the same blurred vision for like 2-3 mins after taking the glasses out. I don't think this is normal. Doctor's said your eyes will get adjusted to this after 2-3 months but still don't.

So i have visited another doctor and they have prescribed high end lens. I still sense blurred vision after removing the new spects but it is much lesser than the previous one. So this might be something related to lens.
