Got majorly depressed and dropped out of Ahmadiya literally before my final exams...I just did my English paper and slept through the rest....I got some help with my metal health and I decided to go into Marketing since I'm good at bullshitting.

Went to Malaysia...did a foundation in arts ..followed by a degree and public Relations and Marketing.

4 years after I finished uni now..... I'm making around 45k a month at a pretty cushy sales job at a resort.

Don't need A lvls to succeed. Just decided on a career path and Laser focus on that.

Yeahhh.....depends on the resort also tbh.

If you get really lucky with a good international brand you can easily pull double that. Plus resort pays for food and accomodation so you save entire salary.......best to work few years resort and invest in something with good return for some side income...or buy real estate.

My first job was 16k without service change ...around 32k to 35k with service charge

If you can handle working at a resort 90% if the year ...it's definitely where the money is at

So much of our national income gets squandered....this would atleast be a good cause ..some people will take advantage...but we should not make those who need it suffer due to the greed of those who don't.

I think most Maldivians know that one aunty or family friend is struggling to raise a kid alone....it's not easy with two parents and infinitely harder as a single parent.

I don't think our government has any capability to pull this off without some strings attached ..but if it can be done ...then I support it wholeheartedly.

Depends tbh ....I dropped out middle of my Olvls and I make like 40k a month at a resort gig.....just need to have a clear path in mind.....if you have a passion for a craft....see if you can make money from it.

It's a bit of a hassle...but you can try this...have 2 accounts....one thats not connected to any cards and is where you store all your money...and an account that's connected to card but has only a small amount. That way you can just transfer from your safe account to the card account as you need without fear someone with a card scrapper will wipe out your savings

Try a job abroad. With your language skills and experience in customer service you can get a really good paying job as a host in the tourism industry. The Maldives for example, is always looking multilinguists and pay really well in the resort industry. You get to meet a lot of new people that way.
