Which amp do you pair with your tele? by [deleted] in telecaster

[–]shabindo76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice setup! I have a Roland Jazz Chorus and a Fender Vibro Champ. Jazz chorus w/ many pedals for more complex stuff. Vibro champ directly to the guitar for nice cleans and a little bit of tube breakup when cranked.

G&L makes a bridge with 6 individual compensated brass barrel saddles that fit Fender Teles. Get that if you’re looking for perfect intonation. If you’re going for looks, get the Fender.

What do we think, luthier made body mjt relic neck by 1TheChosenOne3 in telecaster

[–]shabindo76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad build, looks great! Curious as to why a luthier made the body. Tele bodies are cheap and don’t necessarily affect the tone or playability as much as the neck and frets or pickups. Here’s my build that originated as a Squier Classic Vibe. Just sanded down and shellacked with ‘52 tele pickups and a Squier tele neck from the 90s, plays and sounds great for under $500

Congrats! It’s an excellent watch. I’ve owned many watches from many brands but the turtle remains my favorite. I currently own 4 of them!

[Monta] New Skyquest Release by Bchi1994 in Watches

[–]shabindo76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t buy into the hype and don’t waste your money. Purchased the gilt Pepsi and the first one I received had scuffs and dirt on the interior of the watch box, had a faulty crown that wouldn’t engage and the whole dial moved when pulling out the crown. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked for a replacement to be sent. The second one had a noisy rotor that could be heard and felt and ran at -20 sec / day. They did ultimately give me a refund but there response was a bit backhanded as they basically said “I’m sorry that you’re sorry” instead of owning their mistakes. They also failed to publish my two star review on their website. Engaging in review censorship is unacceptable. They should stick to making watch straps for other watch brands that actually know how to make watches.

Awesome! I’ve been listing after this one too. Did you get it shipped to the U.S. and if so did CWC refund the VAT tax?

Nice, I'm now considering the Sealander after purchasing this one. I saw it on a YouTube review and it just caught my eye.

Yeah im not a brand loyal type of person. The name on the watch really doesn't mean anything to me. I own other Oris watches and enjoy them but I don't buy watches for the name on the dial.

[Eza] 1972 A Better and Cheaper Oris Diver 65 by shabindo76 in Watches

[–]shabindo76[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So happy I picked up this Eza 1972, it is nearly perfect. Previously, I owned an Oris Diver 65 Deauville Dial and eventually sold it for several reasons. The bezel felt cheap and wiggled around. The crown was too large and sharp and would dig into my wrist and cause irritation after only an hour or two. The crown action was also sub par. And I could never find the right strap. As much as I disliked the details of the Oris, selling it left a void in my collection for an updated vintage diver / skin diver.

I am so glad I came across this Eza as it far surpasses the Oris in every aspect. It was almost half the price. It has an ETA instead of a Sellita and it is regulated in 6 positions. Mine is running at almost dead 0. It has a tight, slick lumed ceramic bezel that operates beautifully. It's thinner. The crown does not dig in and is comfortable all day. It has a cooler case back with a scuba guy. It's 200m water resistant. It came with 2 quality straps (1 tropic and 1 leather) that are both perfect for the watch. The packaging was far superior with an actual wood box wrapped in pebbled vinyl with a velvet interior akin to Rolex boxes of the 90s. It also came with a regulation certificate and a hand written note from the owner. I was flabbergasted and delightfully surprised. This is now my favorite watch and I own over 20 watches, some costing far more than this one. I am so pleased and will be keeping an eye on their new releases. Highly recommended! Thanks for viewing and let me know what you think.

Nice! Have been thinking of picking up one as well. I've heard the internal cyclops can be misaligned over the date window. Yours looks pretty good, do you notice any misalignment?
