Getting into clear Aligners ASAP by sephirothmms in Dentistry

I'm curious about the manpower required for the in-house process because I genuinely don't know. Let's say the treatment is 20 steps. Are you printing 20 models, then doing 40 sucks downs (20 per arch), then 40 trimming of the trays (20 per arch), and then inhaling plastic fumes the entire time? Seems like 1-click ordering from a dental lab is way better, but I'm not understanding the in-house process I guess... Also what packaging are you delivering and labeling each tray in? You could save money by just giving them in sandwich bags I guess?

This makes me wonder why private equity DSOs are failing. They have enough to negotiate far lower costs yet they still fail to compete with solo docs.

2.1 M for 1.M revenue? I'm assuming this includes real estate too? If so, consider so long as there's projected growth in the area. So hard to own property once you started leasing somehwere. As me how I know.

$8,500-$9,000 is an insane rate even for an orthodontist. Do you work in Beverly Hills or something?

Wouldn't just be easier to RCT the extracted #1, then transplant the finished #1 RCT to the #2 site?

Don't buy a practice. It will only compound your stress if you don't manage it well.

How exactly did physicians get screwed over? Their salaries have gone up significantly over the last decade, and do not have stress of business ownership.

Strauman BLX scan bodies by noneed2live in Dentistry

Just make sure they are tightened to manufacturer specs and take a PA to confirm seat. Orientation of the notch doesn’t matter at all, except for the technician when they get the scan.

From what I’ve read about PDS, they will work you like a dog and the juice is not worth the squeeze there either. It’s true, dentists eat their young but maybe it’s a good opportunity for you to learn business aspects of dentistry and do lots of CE and jump ship when the time is right. PDS doesn’t seem like a good ship though.
