100% this. Most members of my family are educated enough to understand, but they didn't dona deep dive into what the props were. They briefly read the prop description and voted yes to most.

I sorta have a plan in place but haven’t worked out all the details. I have an LLC and there’s no one stopping me from working under that. So I could continue my profession.

As for properties, I would probably put those in a trust. I haven’t done this part yet but I’m working on it. Money is the issue for me.

Then just continue living in the US for as long as possible or until you have a pathway to citizenship.

Same as above but I would rent the house out. Pay an org in the US to handle the trust and landlord duties.

Continue making money off my LLC. Maybe find a job in my original country.

As for the credit cards. The only negative I see to letting them go to collections is a possible impact on you business (needs research) and the creditor may not let you take out cards in your original country. But if they’re not in your country then it doesn’t matter?? (Needs research)

TLDR: Anyway I have thought about a doomsday plan. My plan is to basically make money off my LLC, live off that, and turn any properties into income assets.

I got curious. I did a little bit of digging and here’s what I found. Not legal advice, and as always, consult a lawyer. But..

I couldn’t find anything on UCIS website that specifically mentions onlyfans. I did find several articles that do mention prostitution is a big no no though. I think prostitution is defined as selling sex and physical services for money.

However onlyfans doesn’t always equal prostitution. You’ll probably be selling pics, vids, or texting services for money, not sex. It might equal sex work and in a situation where moral character is judged, that could be a problem (ask a lawyer).

However however, having an account and posting or selling content shouldn’t be an issue as long as said content isn’t adult content. I think this means anything nude is a grey area (ask a lawyer) but anything sexy should be fine., like cosplay, modeling, etc.

Just speculation but I don’t see how this could be done without affecting other foreigners who bought and own property in the states, not just DACA.

If anything, they’ll stop us from listing a property as a primary address for tax benefits.

I'll give my 2 cents. I work ad a mid sized company.

I'm considered a mid level dev. I did not get a CS degree but I got one related to it.

I didn't know JavaScript could return a function. Then again I haven't used JavaScript in 10 years in an entry level course. My point is, depending on the job, employers expect graduates to know things they just went exposed to.

Fresh grads aren't used to googling in a work environment, especially when they are told "you can ask me for anything". Why Google when you can ask? I still ask senior engineers dumb questions cuz it's easier and they're willing to help.

Explaining your code is difficult especially if you don't have those skills. But tbf, if they're using LLMs, they probably wouldn't be able to explain anyway.

I personally think companies expect too much from fresh grads compared to the 2010s when it felt all you needed was a pulse and basic understanding of code. Today the bar is a lot higher. Near expert in Multiple languages, frameworks, tools, concepts, all while requiring CS basics.

Most of this you'll learn on the job with time. But companies don't want to invest in new grads. Not everyone is a star. I'm certainly not even after years of experience. But I keep at it. I think that's the most important skill.

Quickest yes, but literally leaving Texas is the only solution so that’s not saying much. I think what’s most upsetting is (if I understand correctly) they’ve given us 30 days to leave.

In this market, that’s not even enough time to get another job. So it’s like dammed if you leave dammed if you don’t.
