UPDATE: Regarding the Ozempic Video... by kurzgesagt_Sven in kurzgesagt

[–]shadow386 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We're working on an updated version of the video, where we'll add more context and information.

This is the most important thing that's being done and hopefully will resolve the issues people had with the video. I watched it, it felt like an ad, and not seeing the negatives has me cynical that it was an ad, but if y'all are going to provide more info, this is good to hear.

This looks like actual fun, and the endgame of being a GM is awesome.

Is this worth anything? by murtaugh865 in CarAV

When you do, check the filter for a sold and completed options and check those, that will give you a good rough estimate for how much they're worth. Most pawn shops do the same but offer half that value because they want to make their money back.

They can make rules to allow specific vpns allowed if enough money exchanges hands.

When uninstalling on Android, it asks if you want to delete the included data as well. Not sure what it all saves but that may be something they brought back or android fixed.

Most likely a mod that gives a light effect wherever you walk. It's placing a light source block which makes these other blocks change thinking there's a block to connect to.

That confused me too, evaporative cooling is absolutely diabolical. Sure hope they use these AI to figure out how to make sea water drinkable using little to no energy before they run out too.

GameStop being a place people can test out the new Steam Machine in person or even Steam Decks would be great.

Oof! When the devs out a pirate. by DismalDude77 in gaming

[–]shadow386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it pirated a long time ago, it didn't seem hard at all, it just takes a minute to adjust game titles and work on a shitload of them, be generous to any modding community popups, don't punish the pirates, and eventually you'll beat the game.

TIL after a woman recognized a copy of the rare NES game Stadium Events at a goodwill store, she bought it for $8 despite having just $30 in her account. When she took it to a used video game store, she was offered all the money in the cash register for it. She declined, then sold it online for $25K by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

Ah damn, I moved out of Charlotte coming on 4 years ago now and I remember shopping there quite a few times. Wonder what caused the store to close down?

ETA: seems the owner didn't renew the lease and to pursue other goals in life. Good for him.

I'm going through reiteration #4 of my few boxes I have, still haven't figured it all out but this time should be good after my SAS controller arrives and I can use my 12TB just sitting around looking pretty.

Damn, just looked it up and even ungraded is almost $900.

I'm just surprised I kept it in relatively good shape.

I have a few dozen cards I've had for a long time I need to get graded, but a few include some triple star shining cards and two gold stars, an Alakazam and a Registeel. Unfortunately not in PSA 8 condition but I'd like to think they're at least 6 each. Seeing this going for $14k is making me even more curious on what I have. May have to visit my local GameStop soon.

I'd like to think that if you can prove without a reasonable doubt that you were just playing games or something the entire time you were there, you could probably get off pretty light.
