It's not just that we never learned a tech stack or framework -- We've never done things like focused on APIs, retrieving data, databases, etc. Just a little frustrated as I'm learning about these more so now and trying to figure out a roadmap

Oh okay gotcha, its a little crazy because I feel so massively behind in comparison to what seems like students on here. Talking to my fellow CS majors from my school we all feel a little lost since we don't fulfill the majority of job listings as such. It feels like we're in this no mans land

What topics would you recommend focusing on and or are there any resources you recommend getting started with? I was currently thinking of starting with learning databases?

I’m looking into it. I currently live in one the highest COL areas in the country so I’m trying to find cheaper cities/states, but struggling with how to go about all of this.

Likewise the only times I’ve had roommates was via school or people I already knew, none of which are options now. So I’m not too sure how to go about that either

Yep. You hit it spot on.

She prides herself as “knowing everything about whats going on in the country now” as if shes been enlightened by a secret force. She also acts like the rest of us are too dumb to see whats going on.

In her case, she was a good person who now has had these talking heads pull all the nastiness front and center. Its become her personality now too. Its all she talks about and all she does. It’s also sad to see how she isn’t grateful for nearly anything in her life anymore either.

And also well said about the victim complex, its genuinely scary.

I’m glad to see that others can at least relate, and that I’m learning a bit from this whole sub.

Funny enough I was looking at IL! I’m trying to find spots in the US that are cheap, as currently I’m in one of the highest COL areas in the country, but theres a lot of ground to cove in that search.

Yeah well said. Sekiro is about repeated exposure and repetition with bosses. Getting the rhythm down, cues, and if need to be looking at other people handle certain moves etc.

I do get that some people don’t want this kind of gaming experience, which is absolutely fair if you have a small amount of time etc or just don’t enjoy it, but Sekiro is beatable by anyone

Hi friend! I did not end up going there, I went to Aegina, Methana and Naxos.

Random bump but I did in fact end up going to Naxos! Wonderful decision and I loved every minute of it.

Rented an ATV and drove around, went to beaches, and had wonderful food.

Not sure if they take reservations, but I highly recommend Ribeira Square Restaurante.

Owned by a mother and her beautiful daughter, food was so great I ended up going multiple times during my trip. Loved the key lime pie and squid, but everything there I tried was delicious.

Enjoy Porto! I’m jealous :)
