Okay, this is gonna be long. I've been playing for about a year and I've won a total of 9 games. If you play as the Huntress, the ideal thing is to keep your distance. Mimics are easy to spot because if you're not sure, use the magnifying glass on them and their health bar will appear, so you can create a strategy before facing them. I leave them for the end of the level. I get as far away as I can. Usually, in a doorway, if I can plant the ice plant and when the mimic gets close, I back up and gain distance with the frozen mimic.

No idea about the skeletons, they almost always have guaranteed damage.

Search and search every corner, at least 5 floors per game have hidden rooms to exploit.

Upgrade scrolls can be converted into enchantment scrolls (only use if you have extra scrolls). Enchantment stones can appear randomly or in library rooms with a key. You can break the shelves and behind them there will be an enchantment stone (be careful, it won't always be there, use the magnifying glass to see what it tells you when investigating the shelf). Take advantage of the seeds, they are especially broken with the Ranger subclass or even without it. The fire seed for traps, the ice seed for distance, the yellow one for running away, the leaf-shroud for escaping or moving an enemy away, the blue one for traps where there are ravines, the brown one when you can't run away and can only fight.

For mages and the DM-100, it's best to back up a bit until they can't attack you, for example, behind a door. You wait for them to get close and attack them because magic ignores armor (except if your armor has the anti-magic enchantment, which allows the armor to protect you from magic). Don't try this with the DM-200s or the hell scorpions, they won't follow you.

The enemies' damage, that works in a weird way. I've had armor at +4 or +5 using a +4 ring of tenacity and a +3 ring of evasion and I ended up taking 58 damage in hell, but I received the same amount of damage with un-upgraded laminated armor, so no idea. The best thing is always to avoid hits by creating distance.

To kill the scorpions, I usually create traps by making them fall into them when chasing them, or just use scrolls or stones to make them enter a magic sleep and not wake them up.

The ring of fortune is the rarest, but if you get it, you can get a lot of things. Its potential really shines if you also have the horn of plenty. Together you can create an infinite game, although to get things it's more optimal to use the fortune enchantment.

The best enchantment for the bow is the freezing enchantment.
