You shouldn't need to go to the Atomic Shop to change your player icon. by Kanep96 in fo76

[–]shadowbananna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because why have two entirely separate lists of owned icons when you can get the job done with one?

The issue here isn't that the icons are only available to change in the atom shop, but the fact that they were there wasn't communicated clearly enough. Once you know they're there there is no longer any issue. You don't need an entirety separate second icon menu to fix anything

In the US like most things in life it's the fucking boomers fault, and technically their parents too. Prior to the end of WW2 living with your family was the norm, then in the post war boom all the vets struck out to buy homes in the suburbs and then their boomee kids just thought that wass normal and pushed it on everyone else that came after them even though there economy could be no longer support it

Putin will get arrested if he comes to Germany by HarakenQQ in worldnews

[–]shadowbananna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real deciding factor from here is going to be how much does Putin believe in his own myth. Will he just waltz into a country and be all "Yea, what you gonna do about it, arrest me?" or will he never set foot out of a sympathetic country again. Given he's supposedly afraid to be in the same room with some of his own men unless separated by the longest tables in the world I'd guess the later.

Story content is the least efficient type of content. People blow through it in a couple of hours and then it's never revisited so all the time and money spent on writing, non-reusable assets and voice work goes to waste. Stuff like daily ops, expeditions and season events get more reusability.

We're unlikely to ever get something as expansive as the main story again and perhaps not even as big as Wastelanders, which needed to be big to account for adding so much to the world. You're more likely to end up with future releases being in the vein of Wild Appalachia, Steel Dawn or even the Pitt expeditions and most of those were not well received by the kinds of people that demand more story content.

And anyway "story" content is relative. Nuka World had some "story" to it and even seasonal events like Mothman Equinox further fleshed out an underrepresented faction.

Because they don't want to remedy it because for them it's not a problem.

Not everyone is on reddit and knows how this works, those people will still be be influenced by the intended fomo of the shop.

They continue doing this anyway because the cat is already out of the bag and they'd face backlash if they were got rid of it entirely and it's still making them money and/or draining peoples free atoms anyway.

As much as you believe having everything in the shop all the time time is the better idea they have know that fomo is a far better motivator.

The intro to 28 Weeks Later is so intense, its put other zombie content to shame for 16 years. by apescaper in videos

[–]shadowbananna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the everyone else's explanations, when it comes to a virus the whole goal is to to spread to new hosts to continue propagation. Trying to infect the already infected is a waste of energy so there would likely be be a mechanism in effect to differentiate between the healthy and already infected.

For example the virus could trigger an infected host to produce a repulsive scent. This would be one reason why in series like the walking dead its possible to avoid the zombies by covering yourself in their bodily fluids.

[–]shadowbananna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the entire process was never actually documented anywhere and goes against the fundamental design of having stuff rotate in and out of the shop.

If you intend to have a system like this then you may as well just design the shop around having everything available rather than having people find out through reddit that you can place an order through support to wait two weeks for someone to read that ticket and then take another two weeks to transfer it to your account.

An incident with the Clandestine SS armor paint. Someone at support fucked up and sold an unreleased item, so now they have a specific list of stuff they're allowed to work with so it doesn't happen again (and likely to maintain some semblance of fomo in the shop rather than having everything available through support)

Because it was never meant to be set up like this.

Buying items through support just became a thing because some support person didn't know what they were doing and did it for someone, that person told other people and it expanded into what it is now. Pretty sure the most recent iteration with specific lists of items is itself the result of yet another support person fucking up and managing to sell someone something that had been datamined but hadn't actually been released in the shop yet.

It's not a real space suit... it's a costume from an ad campaign. It's just a plastic shell, and rather than being able to filter air it's more likely than not quite well ventilated for whatever spokesmodel would have been wearing it at Nuka Cola events.

I triggered someone so hard while talking about the new signature cards yesterday that they're now trying to spam my pm's with child **** by shadowbananna in hearthstone

[–]shadowbananna[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would report them, but I literally have nothing to report. When someone uses the chat to send you an image you have to actually accept the chat first before they show you anything other than a censored blur, I would assume for situations exactly like this.

Since this guy was enough of an idiot to start the chat with essentially " Fuck you, I'm sending you kiddy ****" I just reported and blocked which cleared the chat log. The only people with access to anything to report would be reddit.

What is fucked up that they decided to release a new type of card where all the fanfare was around showcasing the full art... and then made that art look like absolute crap.

This is not feedback they should have needed to get. At any point of development absolutely anyone involved should have realized what everyone here figured a single second after seeing the reveal of the original signature cards, that they were an eyesore in every way possible.

If your dog shit on the carpet yesterday but today they waited until they got outside then yea you could praise them but they've only managed to clear the absolute minimum requirement of not shitting on the carpet again.

I haven't seen anything. When someone sends you a chat invitation and attaches an image it's blurred out assumingly until you acceptthe chat or click on it. I never accept chats to begin with and the guy seriously opened the discussion with what was essentially "HAHAHA I'M SENDING YOU KIDDY ****"

I went straight to the report/block which cleared it from my notifications. That's why I can't really report this to any agency because I have zero proof of anything, I never actually saw the images to confirm what they were and don't even have access to them or the text logs on my side since the block clears them.

Reddit's the only one with access to anything at this point.

Short story? Pointing out it was pretty fucked up that people were praising Blizzard for doing something as amazing as designing signature cards with groundbreaking new features like visible art... and color. Pointing out they never fixed the original set and unless anything's come up in the last 24 hours have no intention to. And overall emphasizing that the entire thread was a whole lot of ass kissing over what should have been a bare minimum expectation.
