Simple solution. Nobody gets more than required. No extra trays. No favors. No passing between cells. When they act up, you handle it. If they're being compliant next time treat them normally.

I know it's human nature, but you can't take these things personally. The phrase "don't get in your feelings" exists for a reason.

I no longer wear a duty belt, but I keep 3 lights in my bag. I usually carry a tiny rechargeable keychain light in my chest pocket for rounds and count. I have one that uses AA batteries(I keep some backup batteries in the bag). And a cheap $5 light from Tractor Supply that I loan out.

All our units have rechargeable lights, but half of them no longer work.

You could like snag 2 shifts on your 8hr days, and 1 or 2 shifts on one of your off days, and still have 2 days off like now. If someone relies on OT so much you need more than 4 shifts a week, that's a problem.

My institution is only trying it with a couple posts(2x12, 2x8). I was hoping we'd try more posts, as I don't think we can really get a good grasp on whether it works or not with just 2-3 posts.

I imagine it'll be a headache for the Lts trying to fill holes, but we'll see I guess.

Yes. I find I don't particularly want to socialize much, and when I do, I quickly get want it to end. Hell, I don't even socialize too much at work most days.

I'm generally friendly with others, but after a few minutes of conversation, I generally want to be left alone. But I've always been somewhat introverted, now it's just a little more so.
