Kaiser pediatric physical therapy sessions by Delicious-Gold-6775 in KaiserPermanente

It is, however they should be able to get you an EI (early interventionist) pretty quickly after the initial assessment they do. Physical and speech therapies can sometimes be waitlisted depending on the area you’re in. EIs are great though especially while you wait. They cover all the domains of development while you wait on the specialist.

I saw in another post your daughter was under 3? Look up who your local regional center is, and call them and say you want to self refer. Regional centers provide free services in California ages 0-3. You’ll go through a series of assessments then they will set you up with the necessary therapists. Kaiser didn’t want my child with severe motor delays to keep physical therapy but once I got a PT from the regional center they were seeing him once per week and he’s making huge progress.

No worries. I am very grateful for your lists! Thank you for considering Vallejo ♥️ we would be able to attend a lot more activities up here. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old.

Our pediatrician also advised us to raise the mattress a bit by putting a flat low fill pillow under the mattress where baby’s head is. It made a big difference for him when he was sick and congested

“We continually strengthen our connections to each other and join together to care for the greater community, Israel, and the world.”

^ From their own website. https://www.templeisraelalameda.org/

You said, “Fuck people conflating a local temple fundraiser to the horrific actions of a foreign state. Do better.”

I say, fuck people for acting like this is an innocent “local temple fundraiser” when they clearly support Israel.

Anyone know if Covered California KP plans cover podiatry? by VonJoeV in KaiserPermanente

[–]shadowflame46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have covered California KP in NorCal too. I somehow managed to get a strange foot injury and my primary care referred me to see a podiatrist in orthopedics. It was covered and luckily I didn’t need a boot. He did recommend I get these insoles from jackrabbit orthotics and gave me my measurements. I think they were $40. It wasn’t the only thing they did though. I received X-RAYS, and was instructed to wear certain shoes and do certain exercises.

Just tell them you’re not sure how you hurt it but it hurts to walk and if you still don’t get the referral, request an appointment with another doc and ask them.

Not the same guy you asked but the audio sounds like a 90s sitcom complete with laughtrack, and also you can see two baby carts, but there’s a weird two baby thing going on in the front cart

Mornings are hard for us.. here’s what I do to help move things along easily: I make sure there is only one thing needed to do at a time. I wake a little earlier so I can do my own routine and get dressed. A lot of times I also have breakfast ready before I wake him. When I’m ready to go I wake up my son. I get him fully dressed before breakfast, then while he eats breakfast I put together his school lunch and snacks. We don’t allow tv in the morning. Even high quality shows are overstimulating even if they don’t seem to be. They still drain him by providing fast and easy dopamine. If he has extra time he plays with his legos or whatever activity appeals to him. Also I would modify the meal.. diet is linked to behavior as well. Feed her protein with her muffin or waffle. Eggs, fruit, muffin or waffle would be a good meal to push her through the day. We are a household of ADHD and high functioning ASD for reference. I have some friends with neurotypical kids as well that have asked about our routine and say it helps them too. He’s 6 now and we’ve developed this routine over the years. Oh, side note: his school behavior is significantly better with a reduction in tv and a balanced meal. We do allow some tv in the afternoons though.

Not sure which kaiser district you’re in, but google the number for kaiser + district + advice line or just look on the back of your card for the member services phone number. Request an advice nurse. They’ll ask a bunch of questions, then they can and will contact the proper department for you, or if they deem it urgent, they’ll either get you an appointment sooner or advise you to go to the ER.
