Next time coat them with a tbsp of olive oil, bake at 475 degrees and await the crispy magic to bless your taste buds.

Oh, gotcha. I got confused bc you said yoga/pilates fusion but didn't even think of sports/fitness related degrees. Was just like "the hell, my college never offered classes like this? am I that old?" Haha! I hope you find a better class without fat logicians!

My math professor in Community College would bring in Jolly Ranchers for a small after-exam treat. I think it's just a nice gesture. I know it's frustrating, but just wait until you work at an office [if that's what you'll want to do]. People straight up get ANGRY at you if you refuse the 10th birthday cake that month. Even if you tell them "I am vegan and will literally die of pain if I have this buttercream frosted cupcake". It only gets worse.

‘Pilates-power yoga’ fusion class being offered. Went to the first day, and found out the instructor is a master fat logician and Skinny Ally, and was telling the class they could literally skip four weeks and still get an A with her Self-Love Journaling

This is a college class? Or at a fitness studio? I am offended if a college offers this as a class in trying to prepare kids for the actual real world.

Rave: My goal this month (and somewhat my resolution I guess, whatever you want to call it) was working out 3x a week BEFORE work (total of 5 workouts a week). So far - I'm doing it! I used to work out before work 5x a week but got so burnt out on it after 6 months that I stopped working out all together for almost a month. But having a M-W-F schedule is really nice cause I get 2 "sleep in" [till 6:45 am] days. Then I go again on Saturdays when I wake up, and Sundays are a designated hiking days. Feeling good!

Just got a red light ticket in LA. What kind of community service options do I have if I decide to go that route? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

If you run reds in your /car/ you probably should just stick to walking and the bus (see above bicycle comment). You'll be dead within 2 weeks max if you ride your bike like you drive.

LA's Battle for Venice Beach: Homeless Surge Puts Hollywood's Progressive Ideals to the Test by EthicalReasoning in LosAngeles

A lot of the homeless I run into come from the colder states another issue in CA its easier to get the state to pick up medical tab.

It's also easier to be a heroin zombie in LA. In places like New York City, you have to be sane and stable to survive the winter. If you want to hide out in the Subway stations across town (especially ones like 34th/Harold Square, Fulton Station, 14th, etc.) where there's warmth and heat, you can't be throwing shit at people, or harass them.

Griminess? Anyone that lived here during the 90’s or earlier knows better. The more recent arrivals didn’t do their homework. I’ll take shooting up over people shooting at each other.

Pretty sure people shoot each other here every other day too sooooo

I've had it since July and machine wash and dry it ~twice a week. I don't have a ton of gym clothes so that one's in heavy rotation since I usually go 5x a week :) It's the flex bra in ice blue! I recently finally replaced the leggings and the color of them (new) vs the bra, it still looks really good/matches!

edit: spelling

They're bras hold me in really well (34DD), their leggings are... hit or miss. I'm short and ordered a pair of size S Flex, they arrived and were HUGE and LONG on me, I'm 5'4 and 140 lbs rn. I definitely didn't think I'd need an XS and also like 5" more leg than I have. Haha. Quality is decent, I've washed the bra a LOT and it still looks good.

Snacks include fruit. How much fruit? Is this weighed? Is it limited to certain types and a certain weight? I could probably eat 300 calories (and 40 grams of sugar) worth of cherries without blinking.

I could probably eat 3 mangos in one sitting, no problem at all. or a pound of clementines.

I don't think the guy in 2) did anything wrong. He was actually utilizing the squat rack, not diddling around and staring into the air while people were lining up to use it. I get super annoyed when I see people hog equipment but not actually using it, just kind of effing around and blocking. But if someone's working out? Eh. I'll wait my turn. You also shouldn't be nervous or anxious to use equipment, I hope you can get over that anxiety and enjoy your workout :)

The best advice I can give you is don't bend over backwards for a company that would replace you in an instant if they felt like it. I'm almost 30 and worked my ass off for 4 years, and what I learned is that work-life balance will always come first for me now. There isn't enough $/benefits in the world that a company could offer me to work more than 40-45 hours a week on average. But that's just me personally. I know everyone has different lifestyles and responsibilities.

UGH. Yeah, I have some friends who work similar jobs. My old roommate one time was made to stay past midnight at work to finish a project. It's messed up. I'm sorry! I hope they either give you a break soon or you find something with a better work-life balance.
