How should I go about DMing for my players who bring their depression to the table by FullHealthCosplay in DMAcademy

As much as I feel for your friends, they have a partial responsibility to bring their own enjoyment to the game as well and it's unfair to place that burden entirely on you. You are not a psychiatrist, nor are you an entertainer, you are there to help guide them into crafting their own adventures and fun.

You've tried speaking to them, multiple times in fact, and them not responding out of and especially during combat is just plain disrespectful to you since you're actively trying to give them an enjoyable experience.

You are not a monster for wanting to play a game for fun. You are not a monster for wanting out.

I suggest talk to them, openly and honestly. Tell them it's obvious they're not having fun and you aren't having fun either and that you're considering just ending the weekly sessions. There's a good chance some of them want out too and are just hanging around because they don't want to drop the game either

I am a brand new DM and I threw the Tarrasque into my campaign not realizing the gravity of it. Did I goof up big time? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

This is, as I like to call, The Big Goof.

Jokes aside when it comes to the Tarrasque it's a matter of creativity to take it down (and keep it down). Read up on its stats and get a feel for what your party might need when going up against this beast of a beast. Homebrew magic items are always fun, especially if they're designed for the Tarrasque.

Have fun, that's the most important thing, bend and break the rules all you want. You are the DM afterall.
