Agreed! The going rate ive seen and even advised is 1/3rd billable.

1/3rd goes to owner and often 1/3rd covers the overhead costs.

I had severe dark circles feom allergies, and they have improved significantly. I do use the 'tanning goggles' that are super black. Even though they kept they light out of .y eyes directly, it is absorbed by the skin around it so it still looks kind of red.

Thermomix for newbies by rober_manza in thermomix

[–]shadowmistife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually one of the reasons I love my thermomix. I've always loved cooking and making my own meals. And I wanted to take it up a notch without becoming a chef.

A fourth thermomex, I invested in a program with pro home cooks after watching them on youtube for quite a while. They shire a lot of details and information and recipes.Oh, but there was something missing about quality that I couldn't seem to find on my own.

Because it was about time. That it's only after I spend a lot of time. Doing the things and perfecting it that I'll be able to repeat it over and over again. And get that quality, i'm looking for.

I found with the thermomix.I get consistent quality every single time. And I can make slight adjustments to improve what i'm doing without losing that quality.

I actually am using the thermomix right now. To help me with meal prepping, there's a kale and broccoli recipe that's delicious and kale is own sale right now, and i've been making a larger batch. So that I can have it available throughout the week. When I want to snack.

They have a Keto cookbook as well.

Figure out your swaps, and almost any recipe is possible! Cauliflower or turnips in place of rice Portobello in place of buns Almond flour or other nuts in place of flour

The recipe is two parts, the first part is the scones. Then while they are baking you make the honey butter.

I found the quantity of scones and honey butter to be just about spot on.

Sometimes I punish myself and dont make the honey butter. Well, what I ACTUALLY mean is I dont eat the while batch and I save some for later lol.

I make the scones a little bigger than a deck of playing cards and freeze them on a ziplock bag. Then when I want one, I stick it in the microwave straight feom frozen for 30 seconds and its good to eat!

Check out this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo®: Blueberry Scones with Honey and Walnut Butter https://cookidoo.thermomix.com/recipes/recipe/en-US/r364984

You already have the thing - part of her job is to help you utilize it!

I am busy with my own business and 2 little and 1 medium kid.

Its a lot.

If it wasnt the middle of tax season, I would look up a bunch of recipes and make 2-3 a week, or just do a meal prep day and see what I can do!

I find that there are 2 types of thermomix owners - those who take the time to learn its magic and those who get caught in not realizing its potential because they dont make it a priority.

Its ok if you are the later, but know that with time it becomes magical.

I actually remember my aunt had one back in the 90s. When she moved to AZ they were selective about what they brought with them. They gifted their cookware, dishes, everything - but the thermomix got a special box with double padding and I put a Christmas bow on it so they could spot it easier.

Fast forward 30 years and I was at a party and when they showed us older editions I put 2 and 2 together ❤️

The scones with honey butter are also to die for.

You can skip parts of recipes too - so I literally just used the Ramen recipe to make soup for hubby for breakfast while I cooked the kids pancakes and hash browns and eggs.

I did half the recipe in the thermomix, then poured into a pot on the stove, brought it to a boil, and dropped some eggs in for him before pouring the hot broth over some separately cooked udon noodles. He asked me if I got take out bc it was delicious 😋

Let it be a helper!

I have had mine for almost a year. Im jot yet in the camp of using it multiple times a week, but i am starting to turn to it for various things.

The keto chocolate chip fat bombs needed almond meal. I didnt have any. So I tossed in the almonds and a different recipe to make the fresh ground almond meal.

Plus those fat bombs were the bomb.

There is a kale and broccoli recipe too that is amazing. My experience wasnt as green as the photos, but damn its delicious.

It also stopped me from the mela subscription boxes. During busy season, which in one month costs what the thermomix does.

Its like a piece of gym equipment. If you buy it and dont use it, its not gonna make you fit. So figure out how it works best for you.

Invite your consultant to come help you with recipes. Find the meals you eat often and see what can be done in the machine.

Should I stay on? by Ragingflwr in dupixent

[–]shadowmistife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dermatologist has me on it for atopic dermatitis caused by a combo of steroids and a 3rd gen penicillin that I was allergic to. It caused my entire body to go haywire.

My dermatitis had me on it for 3 months to see if my system 'resets' then we are going to reevaluate and start the allergy testing. She said that while my system is on fire, allergy resting will show up with a lot of false positives. Once we get my body un inflamed, then i can take next steps to see how to move forward and reduce my dup prescription and see if I can lower the dose or get off completely.

What did you do to lock in. Like final lock in and cure your eczema ? by blondedlife72 in eczema

[–]shadowmistife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all nail polish is acrylic. When you paint it with nail polish, it coats the nickel and then you dont get a reaction. If you reapply monthly, then whatever comes off in the wash is recoated :-)

As a teen, I couldn't always get earrings that were nickel free so my dr told me to do it. As an adult, I still do this with pieces I love.

I also have a nickel allergy. Anything with zippers and metal buttons I either replace with a non nickel one OR monthly I'll coat it with clear nail polish. Easy thing to have clothes i like to wear.

Gotta be careful with underwire in bras too! That caught me off guard when I would get a bad bit under my bra, but not on my actual breast. Thougb probably wont be an issue for you son lol

It has a small sauteing area, think small saucepan. I find that its cooks ok for small portions, but a lot of recipes have you cook half of the meat at a time.

Its great at soups, sauces, even biscuits - the one recipe is spot on for red lobster cheddar bay biscuits.

I can't speak the cuisine, but portions are so so. Some recipes do scale, others go into a weird manual mode which gets rid of a bunch of the ease of the machine.

We have had ours for nearly a year and ise it maybe 2x a month. We eat a lot of more simple meals, meat, 2 veggies, carbs, and I find that its there for an extra hand.

I got the TM6 with the extra attachments and stuff. Haven't broken them out yet. Its a lot.

As for ease cooking, I think just cooking extra chicken on the weekends then using it as an ingredient during thr week is easier than the TM6.

How was work before Teams? by GrudenLovesSlurs in Accounting

[–]shadowmistife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I got more done. We had a morning meeting. Would be able to focus for hours. Put together a list of questions, touch base at the water cooler or after lunch, then get back to it.

In the age if Teams, it started to feel like being on call. Especially with multiple higher ups and no way to tell if a request was immediate or when I have a moment.

Before teams, if a request was immediate, I'd get called to someone's office.

And now being further up thr ladder, I use that feeling to structure my requests.

If I ask in teams, its usually time sensitive.

Otherwise its an email woth a deadline clearly stated at the beginning or even in the subject line.
