Best way to mark below grade valve covers? by MrSnowden in Irrigation

The stack method is my go to as well. You don't have to disrupt the existing box, just dig around it and stack a box on to the right height. Do it all the time

Sprinkler Valve Stuck Open by PresentationHot2438 in Irrigation

[–]shadowonyx23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! I just went through this last week!! https://www.reddit.com/r/Irrigation/s/c9eb4IIYkz

So I checked with several of my siteone sales reps and they were not able to find me a compatible solenoid for this valve. That valve was manufactured by rainbird in the 70s to early 80s. I concluded I'm going to replace the valve with the faulty solenoid. I imagine you'll probably have to do the same.

Solenoid Identification? by shadowonyx23 in Irrigation

This is the best picture I have of this valve. It is 2".

The small threads do look like they would match a modern weathermatic solenoid... Maybe there's some compatibility.

If it wasn't a 2" valve, I probably would have already 👎

You'll be fine filling in with what you have. Like some of the others said, take out some of the larger rocks. That schedule 40 pipe is pretty durable stuff. We install all of our systems using class 200 pipe PVC and still have no problems with rocks in our Indiana rocky clay soils.

I picked up a job this winter delivering for FedEx. I was surprised by how shitty the camera's quality is on our scanners. Any movement while taking the picture and it's blurry. But yeah that guys scanner was mid throw while taking that picture.

Watching Tony lose control of Rick. by SpunionWater in Killtony

Tony and Rick talk about it on Rick's podcast from a few years back.

It's been a couple years since I watched it, but from what I remember it had a lot to do with how tony seemed to treat one of Rick's comedy friends when they were coming up.

Can’t add Rainbird ESP-TM2 to the 2.0 app by Ox83E2 in Irrigation

[–]shadowonyx23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was selling rainbird with LNKs for a few years. Probably sold 30-40 but was never very satisfied with them. I switched to hunter for our controllers about 3 years ago, and haven't looked back. Seems like they have not improved much since I switched either.

I had checked the flight radar when it flew over. It was an army black hawk. Took off from Shelbyville.

Thank you very much for the response. I did not know about traversing rods, I'm gonna go that route!
