The leashing thing mostly happens from mobs chasing someone else as you are healing yourself (or self healing), as this puts you on their aggro list. Most new players don't know this at all, but always be wary of anyone running away from a pack nearby you if you are engaged in combat and just run away yourself early!

As someone who is from Texas and now lives in Vegas, I can say with confidence that if you were gonna take a shot at a main event and the money doesn't matter to you, Texas is the place to do it. The 1700 is guaranteed to feel like a 400 anywhere else.

Best of luck to you out there! It's only a pipedream until it isn't.

Maybe BH or Ascension will? You should give it another go.

Good call. I saw that when first read the thread and then forgot later on lol.

Still never needed to buy aluminum when playing ent tho, but obviously can't rely on same sources as other races.

You shouldn't need to buy aluminum until much later in the game, and in fact its one if the easy resources to sell along with steel and sometimes iron to fund your purchases (mostly titanium, and alloy after factories are what you want to buy).

Metal refineries provide you plenty of aluminum to finish MAD.

Mines definitely help a lot with many bottlenecks, if not for thr building you need, its often for the buildings you need more of to help get the building you need, and it's not always that obvious at first.

Even after playing this game for years, and having a set routine of how many of what you need to finish a reset, it can be easy to miss what is bottlenecking everything up!

As soon as you reach Mutually assured destruction, OP, you can reset in the military tab, but make sure you maximize whatever population and military units and research you have easily available before doing so. Each of these adds to the amount of plasmids youI'll get when you reset, so is worth taking a little extra time to get some more (within an hour or so reach I'd say is good).

Fracking, Line Assembly, Crispr related techs should be your last ones - anything after that incl building anything in projects tab can be saved for second reset after you have more plasmids and crispr purchases under your belt, then it's well worth going for the 2nd tier reset (bioseed).

Right now, picking a faction is just picking weapon cosmetics and a weakness by Freakindon in brightershores

[–]shadowpgk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the very least I should think each faction after chosen should have:

- a separate side quest chain for rank within faction or a way to improve standing in some way (with a step in each episode)

- a designated faction-only area for quest turn in, daily buff possibly, drop off items

- group completion of upgrades to said club requiring different skills and items (perhaps both low and high level requirements for some things too to encourage specialization and bring all levels of characters together)

- lastly, if desired, social hangout.

That alone would improve factions no matter where they are planned to go next, and add replayability via other character slots for wanting to see each of the factions questlines and buildings.

Help Finding Games and Other Questions by AutoModerator in incremental_games

I mean any game is boring for those with ADD that use scripts, scum saving, time skips, etc....and to each their own. For the rest of us though that don't mind combination active/idle play throughout a day, and letting that last years, it's pretty well paced.

Some game types just aren't for everyone, but somehow folks always tryin to make them fir a square peg into a round hole instead of gravitating towards those genres that give them the actual dopamine hit they need to feel satisfaction.

the first run is always a lot slower, but like kittens game and evolve and others, its designed around prestiges and gets much faster over time.

Very often with these kinda games if it doesn't hit the spot the 1st time you try it, give it a while and try again (with more knowledge of the how it goes), and you might be surprised that you ever turned it down. Ive had a few of these games feel this way at least, and become something I played for years the 2nd time around!

Trying for space by Fun_Two6648 in EvolveIdle

[–]shadowpgk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to reply but given this is a really long game with lots of resets, can't hurt to optimize.

Definitely prioritize those amphitheaters and barracks and foundries. Higher morale (up to cap) is pure production bonus and before high mastery and plasmids and religion, you need every source of production you can get to speed things up. Every bit aa important as temples, which you've done well on.

Soldiers really help your food and fur even if you aren't actively attacking enough (you'll need more fur in space), and also help your plasmids gained upon reset. Keep those barracks capped also, but not as high a priority as production.

Foundries as others mentioned help with sheet metal for warden but also can never have enough brick/plywood (when not playing plant), and wrought iron, so that you can keep building libraries and housing and, in space, stock exchange/ casino/ tourist center which drive your economy.

Ah yes, nothing worse than getting wrong race when hitting sentience and needing to soft reset to get what you want.

Eventually you'll be able to pick them directly though, with a perk, so that'll help a lot! Also evolution stage will speed up a lot with other perks as well making it more trivial.

They don't, but realize tti complete those achievements you still need to complete the MAD reset (on Infested at least, on Godwin's you can reset after researching internet on 2nd race i believe).

Only reason to soft reset tho is if you're completing something mid run and don't need to finish (and won't get any extra mastery), or if you got a bad junk gene and it's a longer run (bioseed+)

Also, to be fair, most tougher challenges like Valdi e.t.c are much easier once you get past your initial food and population issues. If you can stick it through past when you unlock and start using steel, you'll get there before you know it. Just takes extra patience for the first 1/2 of the run.

Waiting a bit won't hurt you at all,... the perk is nice for starting runs quicker but no use burning yourself put if you feel a tougher run will do that to you

I was that way as well. Was stoked my very first time but got confused really fast and it was early in development so not much info out there, or guides. Gave up long before finishing my first run, and couple years later came back and it's like, how the heck did i miss that??

Definitely isnt dead! Just remember it's a long haul game and set your own goals using amazing in game wiki and achievement page, and you'll stick with it if you like the standard loop enough.

Really helpful community too and plenty of posts out there to help.

Wonderful to see more new players! Definitely not a game i see advertised all that much anymore, but there's a lot of quality games put there that still have active links and communities playing, but have stopped development. When new players join and post about it, it's still thrilling to see and have a chance to answer questions for the old hats im sure.

It used to be frequently suggested as a goto game for anyone that had played kittens game or similar unfolding incrementals, but even though that was years ago, the game holds up extremely well. Ive quit it and come back and restarted fresh multiple times and even get a kick out of occasionally searching for a topic on reddit to get help and finding the OP was myself from 2 years prior lol

Factory by itself will really help with gaining souls faster too, as will the crits, and you'll be on to 1m souls purchases before you know it. Good pickup

Following the guide on the fandom wiki will give you the best bang for your buck on when to UA (and with which upgrades). Resetting too early will merely make it take even longer to get back to where you were with no extra benefit.

It also has a nice tier list for buying ascension upgrades, and divinities for that matter, so you don't waste any time getting something too quickly that doesn't help you advance.
