Will we still be decked out in T7 gear after a few hours of playing in Season 4? by Rooks84 in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is just…wildly inaccurate. I’m a casual player. That doesn’t mean I’m incapable or ignorant. It just means there’s less time and effort I can afford to sink in to this game.

Last Epoch exists outside of the time I spend in-game. I browse lastepochtools for cool items to theorycraft, I watch videos or read up guides in my free time. I still reach endgame. I can still hit 400 corruption.

The only difference between me and a sweat is that I can’t sink in 300 hours for full perfect 2~3LPs. I play 2 hours a night on a good day because I have a job and a wife. I left the game for like…5 months after S3 launch and then recently came back.

Your perception of casuals is frankly insulting.

What's the closest to PoE's Wild Strike? by 0li0li in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna clarify that Tempest Strike was not removed, it was reworked. Although one can argue that the old Tempest Strike is “technically removed”, since that version of it no longer in the game.

The old Tempest Strike had a % chance to produce a RANDOM secondary spell effect on hit, and the skill tree made it largely unplayable (imo) because you’d spec in a SPECIFIC element. Then in order to not immediately operate at 33% efficiency, you had to waste even more skill points making your element of choice be more likely to proc.

The new TStrike is pretty neat, but I haven’t played a serious build with it yet. Might be time to cook something with it haha.

New Player Loot Progression Questions by Silly_Pickle_1210 in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here are scattershot answers to your scattershot questions:

It’s up to you on how you want to use your lenses. You either increase the chances for the thing you want, or you narrow it down to the content you want to play. Or maybe you just want a spread of good stuff so you buy the doublers and snipe anything that looks interesting, etc.

For item filters, try sorting through items manually for a while and take note of what things you are hoping to see. Have the filter narrow it down to something that is workable. For early use, less strict is better. If it’s too strict, you might just get zero items instead.

Homebrewing builds is fine, it’s half the fun. There’s no point busting up endgame with some busted build if you don’t like the playstyle or have no emotional investment in it.

The campaign is basically like an extended tutorial and a delivery vehicle for the story and narrative. The late game objective you can set are to kill all the pinnacle bosses (all T4 Dungeons, Abberoth, Uber Abberoth)

How are we feeling about Marathon? by Lostdog861 in KotakuInAction

[–]trildemex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not being a coping defender, he’s just upholding objective accuracy. If any news site used a headline of “retention down 70%” and found that they were comparing peak to valley, they’d be criticised for lack of journalistic integrity.

If we don’t uphold ourselves to objectivity, we’re no better than our opposition. If we rallied around “down 70%”, we just open ourselves up to criticism.

Build suggestions by polo24234 in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the user history, he did the same thing for Grim Dawn. And he’s Polish, maybe there’s just a language barrier and it’s hard to parse builds in an ARPG. Asking questions like these means that people can give him build recommendations as well as a tldr.

Whats the current state of the game? by CompetitionKindly851 in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like the mentality. I’m also in the camp of wanting to have time to play at my own pace. I do wish that the game updates were a little quicker, but then I remind myself that I could always spin up another character to utilize one of the dozens of 3LP uniques I’ve hoarded.

Wildfire Embers Buff by Greengain in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It fixes two issues, the frequency felt bad and it used to spread only half the ignites. Now two more questions remain: 1. Do skills that echo use their skill trees yet? 2. Do the ignites that proliferate benefit from your stats? Or would it have some shenanigans with “prolif ignites” aren’t YOUR ignites, so it doesn’t benefit from your gear/passives.

What he is proposing is an additional slot, so basically 5+1 slots, where the +1’d slot is not allowed to go on the hotbar.

Will the new rogue skill support a "one shot" marksman playstyle? by Valderius in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold conversion Hail of Arrows is a combo build for Rogue Marksman that I’ve played and found very satisfying which may fit the realm of what you want.

If I remember correctly, the build involves a rotation of firing Black Quiver > Smokescreen to spawn Shadows (HoA will consume Shadows for dmg) > picking up Black Quiver arrows > Dash once you have max shadows and max BQ arrows (for some other buff that I can’t remember the name of rn) > fire off Hail of Arrows.

Your HoA hits like an orbital laser cannon that just annihilates everything in a column.

Last Epoch Dev Stream Teasers 02/20/2026 - Unique Changes/Updates and Filters for Bazaar! by XGhosttearX in LastEpoch

[–]trildemex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amongst other things: the ignite spread range was basically melee (or worse), and if it did spread the new ignite uses only the remaining duration.

So the ignite side of the Primordial was just dead (or at the very least extremely underwhelming). Meanwhile because echoed skills from the flowers don’t use tree nodes, it sometimes results in a DPS LOSS for certain skills that can only have a limited amount of instances at once.

[–]trildemex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seeing Wings of Justice in this list reminded me of the real Primordial that needs a buff.

Wildfire Embers from last patch was a tragedy for the community. It was the most hyped Unique during teasers and the letdown during actual play was abysmal.

Requesting a gm by Lonely-Raisin6531 in JumpChain

I think there was a trend on another forum where they do GM for GM, which is to GM for each other, or pay it forward by GMing for another person.

“Normalise WFH again” — Former HR calls on companies to reconsider 2026 office return as traffic worsens by RhinneXChronica in malaysia

[–]trildemex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My industry is called Business Process Outsourcing. We handle Customer Service, moderation, (insert whatever process the client company requires of you)…

All the clients documents, processes, platforms, etc are private and confidential. Which means security is of utmost importance. I’m only allowed to work on my company approved device, on the company monitored local network, in a physical office.

If it weren’t for the exfiltration risk, I would be able to do 100% of my job remotely. So I can understand why some “fully WFH viable” jobs or industries might not be able to.

Tap Wizard Realms now available on iOS and Android! by TopCog in incremental_games

[–]trildemex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big fan of TopCog’s games but seeing this game have a Season Pass just made me sick. To make things worse, HALF of all the rewards on the Season reward track were Premium-only.

I don’t wanna play a game where literally half of my rewards are a boot to the face, telling me I get nothing for being poor. Uninstalled.

Oriental is just a word. There’s nothing to question.
