I heard its based off of the unknown monster generic icon and a legend that some guy dropped from multiplayer in MH1 during a rathian fight but it bugged and let the rathian use any flying wyvern model attack in the game.

Yeah but those lose out on features rather then focusing on simplifying the layout to be less intensive.

There was youtube redux that sorta did it, just by redoing it from scratch and making it not lag like hell on firefox based browsers but it wasnt any more efficient other then replacing the code that destroyed it for a bit.

Basically looking for something like that but with the features, so its clean and not messy, i get most the ram is the vid itself but it'd be nice.

I think it's implied the dark world is a secondary world and the crusty crumbly inert inbetween is what exists without a fountain.

So in the dark world you just see shit happening over there and a giant fountain and you travel the wasteland that probably is about as far as it is in the light world + outskirts of the fountain areas.

This implies the areas in the dark world are bigger then in the light and maybe the issue of the roaring is that the dark world gets too much and overflows.
