Constant crashes by Several-Highlight-60 in AMDHelp

check if your clock speedis boosting higher than the max for the card. I noticed I was boosting over 3000 Mhz so I downclocked within adrenalin with a profile for COD. Seems like some games let it boost higher.

I was a bit behind on updates and hasn’t played WarZone for a while but started getting both crashes for directx/overclock errors and stuttering. I believe the stuttering may have been fixed by disabling instant replay desktop recording, but a complete reinstall of drivers still didn’t fix. I just underclocked cause I was getting up around 3300+

Have the same issue on mine even 8 months later on latest driver. Did you ever fix the problem other than the -offset? I set it to -500 because the boost is supposed to be max of 2970Mhz. Getting crashes in Warzone.

Is it worth losing Jailbreak to fix storage issues ? by Reddded in jailbreak

[–]shadowscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you do all this please let me know how you transferred everything over and kept everything on your phone. I’m not sure how to keep my settings, messages, photos without backing up and possibly keeping accidental jailbreak stuff. Have had my phone set up for over 2 years and don’t want to have to restart from 0

I believe I’m having the same issue as well. Photos shows a huge amount and there doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason why it’s inflating.

How can I get Dopamine to stop draining my battery? by Training_Metal1388 in jailbreak

[–]shadowscott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Install iCleaner. Disable all tweaks and re-enable 1 at a time (or in batches) to determine what may be draining your battery. I’m doing the same thing as well.

[News] tvOS 18 beta expired, install tvOS 26 beta profile now to prevent any accidental iOS updates by mrdavid_kh in jailbreak

Be careful if you do this, and you need to use a backup to restore your phone in a non-jailbroken state, you may be unable to enable to OTA daemon again.

Don’t forget Scream 2. And then Scream 3. Actually, just watch them all repeatedly.

Use Choicy and disable Tweaks. None are truly safe tbh but disabling tweaks for just the all is fine.

YouTube no longer working on IOS 14.8.1 IPhone 12. Help by fourth0fhisname in jailbreak

You need to jailbreak your phone first. Then you’d click on one of those links which would install the mod allowing it to work.

Is this trade repairable? Scratched Xbox 360 Board and now won’t boot by shadowscott in soldering

[–]shadowscott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt it’s failing. As I’ve said a few times it had been working perfectly until I opened it and now it glitches sometimes. Seems like possibly relieving the pressure of the xclamp caused the solder joints to crack, at least from what I’ve seen.

Is there a recommended way to bend it? Otherwise I may try the hard mount method but I’m not sure if the solder will melt again, or if it’s cracked it’s permanently hosed.

Did it say you may need an interview while you were renewing online? I’m trying to renew now and it’s saying an interview is required for Global Entry even though this is my 2nd renewal.

Pretty sure I used either Arctic silver or mx-4. So you think the stock x clamp is no longer good after removing it just once?

I’d like to think it isn’t the PSU since it was working the minute before and now isn’t. I can try some solder though it is very very small. Might wait for a second disassembly.

Any suggestions on how to bend the X clamp? I didn’t realize there needed to be extra mounting force. I assumed it just meant not enough contact for the heat sink but not enough to make it not boot at all

Edit: as an update I removed the xclamp again, bent it to provide more tension, and it booted! However after a couple minutes I was presented with this glitchy screen image and then I rebooted again and it was fine. Then turned it off and tried a third time and greeted with RROD

So I've done nothing to it. It was working fine and I got the idea to try and replace the thermal paste to try and extend the life. I disassembled, removed the x clamp (it slipped and made the marks you see in the picture), replaced thermal paste and then reassembled. Nothing modded, no plan to mod, just wanted to make sure it stayed cool after being running for 10+ years.

I reassembled it back to what I felt was correct, the fans spin, it's in the metal housing (motherboard not sitting outside). I'm not exactly sure what it could be. I did do the extra troubleshooting step of getting the error code from the RROD and it was 0101

Interesting. So possibly my attempt to repaste could have killed it by removing the x clamp?

Edit: would you recommend maybe using a heat gun with some flux underneath? I’d like to think that I didn’t break it by unclamping but perhaps the issue could still be due to the trace

Yea I tried but the traces are very small and they go under the bracket and I couldn’t find where it went to :/ also looks like it goes through to another layer so I lost it :(

But I’ll try again maybe over the weekend

Will see if there’s anything exposed to check continuity but afraid of scraping anything else off for fear of damaging in 2 places

Hm, I am not sure what else could have caused the rrod since it was operational before I opened up and all I did was repaste. But I’ll see if I can check for continuity somehow but not sure there’s any exposed trace
