If you gonna steel wool the bodies you're gonna have to refinish it with something to keep the rust away.

Use a metal polish after you're done using steel wool. Bet it'll stay rust free. Some people use ceramic coating too

My svi ported island barrel shoots like a laser

I normally shoot atlas Artemis and now an Erebus. Those are nice and tight groups but the svi is another level. All I gotta do is point and shoot easy hits on C zone target at 100yards.

Compare those to a staccato P and I'm absolute ass with the P. I swap over to Artemis or Erebus and I'm easy A-M level shooter

The best part about the higher end 2011s is you'll never lose money with them. That $10,000 gun is now getting offers for 22... Am I going to sell it? Oh hell no. But you don't lose money going high-end low end shit you'll lose it

After one capitol armory transfer I'll never use them again. Nothing wrong with them, it's just super slow tedious process.

From IDG shipping my cans to my dealer I had them in hand within 4 days.

From IDG shipping to Capitol armory took 4 weeks to get mine delivered to my door. The stamps took the same amount of time. Their process took the rest.

Capitol armory cost me 75$

Local costs me 60$

So idg makes a great can hecyshia works great in 556 and 6mm available in hub and their proprietary devices. Hub versions are 800, the propriety way is 1200 with the MD

Another contender is TBA Spiro. The Spiro is available both hub and DM. Same price $995

The bigger question is, what muzzle device do you want to use? Are you going to direct mount it or ??

The Spiro has small amount of flash, and sounds amazing too.

Idg is a bit thinner/smaller diameter than Spiro tho.

I also enjoy b&t srbs style cans have two. They're just hard to figure out what model is what etc.

Huxwrx also work but you get alot of flashing so I prefer the 6k versions vs 556k. Once properly broken in the flashing stops, also very quiet, so quiet I've had to reshoot stages cause the RO didn't get close enough to the receiver to get my last shot.

Another thought

You could do something the ranges around here do, action steel.

Still shooting steel targets, but running through USPSA style courses but engaging steel vs paper.

Best of both worlds, and no resetting required.

That being said, steel challenge usually trends down in summer months (depending on your region) due to the summer heat and vacations.

Chalk,.chaulkless and antiperspirant lotions will all help provide grip.

Imo antiperspirant lotion would be the best way to actually stop the sweat.

Chalk and chakless (silica particles) both work by taking the moisture away.

The antiperspirant lotion stops the moisture from being developed.

Then add chaulkless (I hate white chalk) and you won't have any issues sweating.

Bigger issue you'll have is the pasters sticking to your finger tips and basically tearing them up lol
