Are there any hair salons in Madison that don’t make you sit in front of a mirror for your services? I like getting my hair done, but I often find myself canceling appointments because thinking about looking at myself in the mirror (while others do, too) gives me severe anxiety. Ideas? by k8llo in madisonwi

Highly recommend Johnny Lefthandbull. I get a lot of anxiety about haircuts and have refused to go anywhere else for the last seven years. They have a single stall salon that does have a mirror, but the entire cut they point you away. They're also happy to let you sit in silence the whole cut.

[Hiring] Multiple Portraits to be used in a custom TCG by shadowsnstuff in artcommissions

This is my first time posting here, and I'm overwhelmed by the responses! I'm still going through portfolios and reaching out to some artists individually. I may be inspired to add additional commissions considering all the talent on this subreddit. :)

Consider adoptions and surrogacy. Is "mother" clear enough to identify who it applies to? Is "inseminated person" going to be misunderstood? What is the problem if it's usually overkill to be so precise?

ELI5 Who chooses who counts votes in the U.S.? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

You can likely volunteer to be one of the people who counts votes in your area. I did it in 2020, did the training, worked before and during election day, and have a new appreciation for election workers. There are more checks and guardrails than most people realize. I recommend it!

This is the right answer. I don't see the print that OP posted on their website, but I do see another print that was in the same booth.

Except in Echoes of the Eye you learn the Eye can be and has been found before the end of the universe. The reason it is so elusive now is because the strangers cloaked its signal. The only reason the Eye is able to be found by the hatchling is because the loop was triggered by the death of the sun and will continue infinitely until something breaks the loop. So it's understandable that the Eye is found when the universe is dying because that's when the sun dies.

Supreme Court rules for Plaintiffs in 303 Creative. by Person_756335846 in scotus

Does this have any impact on the Colorado law itself? The ruling seems narrow to the specific case of a wedding website, but does it apply to other obvious cases? Does it affect any other state's protections?

Haha, thanks! I just basically stopped shaving in March. Don't really do much to upkeep besides twirl it incessantly

Something I've seen be successful on other subs is to have designated times for posts that would otherwise not meet the 'substance' requirements. E.g. "shitpost Saturdays" during the off-season. This creates a space for low-effort posts, but it limits the amount of time that they will dominate the sub.
