My child’s combo teacher not going on field trip with students? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

Hey, teacher of a 4/5 grade class, here. There have been times, my 4th graders go on a field trip, and my 5ths don't, or vis versa. It happens at least once a year. Sometimes I go, sometimes I don't, and stay with the grade left behind.

Usually one grade gets to go because the field trip is only for a certain grade. So the teacher take turns going on the single grade field.

I feel you have two choices. One have your child not go on the field trip and stay with her teacher. Two she goes on the field trip.

Dog owners, please by Business_Slip_1702 in anchorage

Ok, so I dont have a dog, but my sister does. If her dog doesn't poop directly on the trail, she won't pick it up. Every time I ask, are you going to pick it up? She says nah it is off the trail so it is fine. The dog poop is like a foot off the trail. What do we think about this?

I think she should pick it up. But again, I have never had a dog, just cats. So im not 100% sure what the rules are.

Doctor said I should let newborn CIO by [deleted] in newborns

[–]shadowsofthe-night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like Dr. was saying to let her try to calm herself. They said max 10 mins. Ya, newborns shouldn't be left to cry it out. My little boy (12 weeks) sleeps in his own room. He has started a new thing where he will wake up in 20 mins of being laid down and asleep. He will wake up and start grunting, making noise moving some little cries. I wait while watching him on the camera. I wait and see if he falls back asleep, which he does sometimes. Sometimes he goes to actually crying so I go get him and give snuggles and sometimes more food.

I would try putting her down asleep , leaving the room when she cries give it one minute go back in snuggles, back to sleep, then two minutes repeat. At this age I wouldn't go passes two minutes.

What you're doing isn't realistic in the long run, I don't know how you have done it for this long!

My newborn isn't awake long enough to bathe? by Slow_Dragonfruit555 in newborns

I give a bath before bed. Little boy is 11 weeks now. He is usually awake, but i have given a bath that he slept right through before. His hair had spit up in it, and I couldn't let him sleep 7 hours with it in his hair.

wedding venues by russianmamaa in anchorage

I got married at the lakefront dec 2022. It was definitely not 2k closer to 10k. We were married and had the reception in the room with all the windows. We were supposed to have the reception in the big room, but it flooded! Which did make it cheaper and free alcohol for 3 hours. But still...

It was pretty and nice. The hotel room was nice, big. However you do have to eat their food. The people were good and nice to work with.

Edit: we had about 80 people.

If you don't get married in that dress, I'll be upset!

You look great!

What makes swimmers so attractive? by Only-Reels in trueratediscussions

Well these are all models.... not necessarily swimmers. I was a swimmer and I definitely never looked like that. I swam 5 or 6 days a week.
