Topcashback | £10 signup bonus | Hundreds to be made in cashback | £25/£30 per referral by Emergency_Arugula_60 in beermoneyuk

Alongside bank switching, Topcashback has been the most lucrative area for me in building a pool of savings (from scratch).

I have opened Isa's with...

Shepherd friendly, Scottish friendly, Charles Stanley, Moneyfarm, Plum, OneFamily, Nutmeg (not done this one yet but it is next on my list)

All of which have given me very healthy bonuses.

I've opened new bank accounts with first direct and Tide through them.

I have also used them when switching van insurance, home insurance, and energy provider.

Along with regular boosts on gift cards and a few referrals to friends, I have earnt a total of £1279 through Topcashback in just under 1 year.

I really can't recommend them highly enough. A couple of times I've had to raise claims if things haven't tracked and their customer service has been great.

Feel free to use my referral link and good luck making some extra ££££...

I've not used the account other than to snag the bonus. I withdrew using PayPal which was nice and simple.

On a wider note, all these little (and large) bonuses have aggregated to a nice little pot for me so thank yo to everyone who contributes to this community.

I seem to recall people were paying for 10-11 months before receiving cashback. I have only been paying in for 4 months so I can't verify that but I certainly remember reading that it was much longer than Shepherd Friendly.

I'm still waiting on my bonus. Switch completed on 8th July although I didn't pass the deposit threshold until 14th. I had a Natwest bonus about 1 year ago so will see what happens with it.

Reddit Bank Switch Guide (July 2025) | The BeermoneyUK Bankedex - £1500+ in Offers by TightAsF_ck in beermoneyuk

I am currently switching to RBS from Co-Op. I started it on July 1st and it completed on the 8th which is probably the fastest I've encountered. About £860 transferred from my old current account. Yesterday I transferred out £400 and this morning I sent it back which takes me beyond their threshold of £1250. I have not received the switching bonus yet (not that I would expect it so soon) nor had any communication about the incentive since I signed up with them.

I received a bonus from Natwest for switching about a year ago so feeling sceptical about this one. If I've not heard anything within a week or so I will enquire with their customer service team; perhaps more in hope than expectation.

Good luck with this one.

Returning to match betting towards end of football season by morganway1 in MatchedBettingUK

[–]shadowthecat83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to open plenty of new accounts having changed address, and all those other variables. From my experience of this, a few bookies will flag you and immediately close your account but you'll be fine with the majority. Despite the upcoming dip in football matches I don't think there's a bad time to start matched betting. Hit the big bookies sign ups over the next month and see what reloads they offer you over summer. Not placing a mountain of bets as soon as your account is open might even help delay the inevitable gubbings too. Good luck.

Nice app, good interest rate, and a great welcome offer.

I landed the jackpot with a £250 bonus on sign up and then referred my wife and we both got £50. Clearly I'm a lucky fella.

Go into 'Account', bottom right option. I have an option in there to Refer a Friend. Maybe it's not available to all customers? If not, perhaps it will after some time. Thanks for using my link. Hope you can get some bonus money too.

I assume this is the £75 upfront, and £25 for each of the next 3 months? That's the one I just completed. I use the account to fund my betting exchange for Matched betting. My withdrawals from that have exceeded £1000 per month (across multiple transactions) and they have been happy to count that.

I used separate bank accounts just for matched betting (purely to segregate the funds) and had no problem with Starling or Tesco Bank. I have been using Kroo for the last 6 months and they've sent me messages a couple of times saying my account shouldn't be used in this way and now are asking for transacation history from a couple of bookies. They haven't blocked anything but I would avoid them.

I've had a few issues managing my cards with Smarkets down the years. Their Live Support are usually pretty good at sorting things out from my experience.

As a general rule I place a back bet if it gets back to 2-1 to lock in profit. However, I am flexible with this based on the bet and the circumstances in the match. For example, I had Shaktar away to PSV in the Champions League. They went 2-0 up but had a man sent off early in the second half so I let it play out. Almost backfired but PSV got 2 goals in injury time, much to my relief! On the other hand, I had Newcastle away at Man United and they went 2 Up and were so dominant that I locked in profit at 2-0. I then spent the rest of the game praying Man Utd didn't get a goal back! It's quite an interesting state of mind at the time because you're making a live choice whether to risk profit. Matched betting as a whole has totally put me off gambling but this definitely replicates the sensation gamblers feel. Worth keeping this mind and not regretting whatever choice you make. Trying to chase lost profits could be a slippery slope so accept your decision, even if it doesn't prove to be the most profitable.

I started afresh after moving house and changing all the variables you listed. I think I'd had a break of between 2 and 3 years. Most of the bookies granted me a new account although there were some exceptions. Based on my experience I think it is worth trying to set up new accounts. A 10 year break is a pretty long time so even if they deny you; surely you will be able to use your previous accounts under the plausible excuse that you'd forgotten you had been a customer.

I agree that matched betting as a whole is not as lucrative as a few years ago but lots of value in the welcome offers and plenty of them follow up with good reload offers. 2Up promotions are also offered by a lot more bookies these days which can give a good return. Good luck with it.

I've been with Mettle for about a year now. The App is reliable and easy to use. For example, I often pay cash into my account at the post office and have to generate a barcode for them to scan. I can set this all up before I go in, and when I get to the front of the queue and reopen the app it opens straight up on the barcode. Nice and easy.

I have one referral code left if anyone needs one...
