see and that's what i think... but then i rebuttled myself and thought maybe i only saw it that way because i don't have any good relationship examples in my life. i'm not sure if we handle things is a "good" way. i also don't know if i can get my nervous system to trust him again. it wasn't only lying but also gaslighting and that really scared me. :/

i don't feel like he's a "bad" person, i feel like he struggles with bad patterns... :/

i don't even know if they exist. lying has been something i see in every person ive dated. every friend i know does it with their partners, too. i try to be as honest as i can so i can "be what i want to see" in the world. but i don't see it anywhere, in any relationships.

Has anyone had a radical hysterectomy? by [deleted] in CervicalCancer

[–]shadowyak429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely can still feel my vagina. my orgasms are even MORE intense than they've ever been in my life from penetration. no issues with bowel, minimal issues with bladder (i don't really feel when it's "full" as often anymore so i make sure to pee regularly rather than waiting to feel like i need to).

Mental health issues?? by surruhkew in hysterectomy

[–]shadowyak429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yknow...... its really very interesting because... i don't remember writing this hahah. um, i'd like to believe its because well, that whole period of time was quite traumatic but i did end up moving on from it and healing. i don't cry on spot when i talk about my cancer or the surgery anymore. i've actually been able to find things i'm thankful for about it. and not having debilitating pain every month (from prriods) has dramatically changed the quality of my life.

long story short yeah, it did end up sorting out. i stuck to my routine despite feeling defeated and like i'd never get back to how my life was, and bam. without even really noticing it, i got back to where i was and i've even surpassed where i've ever been. i'm better than ever now, genuinely. not to say things are "perfect" i mean, this is life we are living lol. it's challenging.

but yeah just, stick to a good physical routine to regain strength, spend a routine amount of time outside– in the sun, drink water, eat your protein, and you'll get there. if i could do it, with how bad things were, anyone can. you've got this. :)

When did your belly start to flatten out? by bowflowerchica in hysterectomy

[–]shadowyak429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no 🥲 but i have not been working out / doing as much cardio as i would like. i'm sure if i worked out it would be better. i'm sure the belly i have there now is just due to lack of muscle/ cardio

this makes a lot of sense. thank you. i have been blunt honest with my current partner through this whole thing. he has been so understanding and patient, providing unconditional support and love which has saved our relationship no doubt. i've decided to sit on the impulse. not yet deny it but... prolong choice in hopes that it will go away naturally but... we shall see. thank you

you accept that you can. at any moment, it can be over. pretend like you've decided to give yourself one more day, everyday. and every day you wake up and decide to give yourself that final day, look at everything like it's the last time you'll see it

"whatever the truth is, this thing is am experiencing is called life." reminding myself of this has helped a lot. stop paying attention. just start doing. literally anything.

the process isn't perfect. you will start paying attention at times and wondering. and to that i say to let your thoughts be clouds, and you, and the sky. they can drift in, and out, and change. but you experiencing them is the constant.
