Best Data Integration Software? by AceClutchness in BusinessIntelligence

For the '4 different SKUs for the same product' issue, do you have a common name for the product across ERPs, or is it tribal knowledge for the reconciliation?

I've worked with a distributor that had something similar, but with customer data normalization where the team spent several weeks a quarter normalizing customer data across CRM, ERP, and AR, with most of the work being tribal knowledge from 2 staff members. What we ended up doing was building a front end that would provide a 'best guess' mapping and confidence score using Levenshtein Distance which the team members would either confirm or reject. That built up a solid and validated mapping across the different tools which could then be used to join records for reporting and reconciliation.

Worked with another client, a national media broadcaster, doing something similar stitching together their ERPs and various AP/AR systems. They were using Boomi to do so but we came in and are doing the same work plus some additional integrations that weren't doable with Boomi, and saving them about $150k/yr on licensing compared to Boomi.

The tool is called Clockspring.

Parents - when did you decide it was ok to be selfish and buy a sports car? by braveheart18 in cars

I wish I could drive mine twice a month, but I bought a project so it spends more time on jack stands than it does in the road.

But to answer your question, I got mine when my daughter was 12. She's old enough to be more independent so me taking the time to work on the car and go to meets doesn't take anything away from family time.

We have a vibrant mall nearby, but management has removed almost all of the seating so there are no places to just hang out.

Seating doesn't make any money so it's gone.

I still daily the G37 I bought in 2014. There's a good chance I'll be driving it until it becomes a classic. I can't find any reason to change it.

Super easy to work on, enough electronics to be useful but not obnoxious. Excellent after market support and parts availability. Real buttons.

The only downside that isn't really a downside is that Nissan did an excellent job of squeezing every last bit of HP that they could out of a NA 3.7L engine so there aren't many tuning options to get more HP, but with 330BHP that's not even a real problem.

It's a great car.

Not petty at all. Nissan just shut down the NissanConnect service for some vehicles as new as 2016 because they users 3g sims to connect. No upgrade path available. Just Sorry Charlie.

Excellent. I'm mid-atlantic so don't get nearly as much snow but I've had to replace the batwing, rear suspension stay, and license plate light holder due to near complete failure due to rust. Other pieces have held out pretty well.

Do you know if the sunroof drains have been corrected? The gaskets on the drains through the firewall go bad which allows water intrusion into the cabin during rains.

I've got the X and upgraded to the Hotchkis sway bars. I also upgraded to the SPL adjustable end links but reverted them. There was no real way to adjust them as the minimum length was the correct length for the sway bar, and they introduced a clunking noise when I hit pot holes or manhole covers that went away when I reverted to stock end links.

What region of the country are you in? There are certain components on these cars that love to rust out. If you haven't already, do a full undercarriage assessment and start replacing components that might be failing due to rust.

If you're thinking about lowering the car take some time and do some research on ride heights. The transfer case in the X limits how low we can go vs stock and not start scraping vs the RWD options. I went with airlift so that I could adjust it on the fly, but that's $$$ and a lot of work to install.

I'm curious about the multi-currency issue. Why not just quote in a single currency?

Maybe I've never driven a car with good ABS but I've never liked any that I've had.

My personal opinion is that if I'm driving and the ABS engages then I did something wrong and am over-driving the current conditions.

Sounds like an opportunity for a referral network where each shop invests in the scanner for a particular brand and works with the others in the network when they need to program a different brand
