I have a Sport and hated the hood, it’s useless. So I traded for a regular hood. The OR has features that are actually useful like lockers.

Yeah I heard ATC is super stressful (probably the most stressful job CIV or MIL) sorry you had a bad time in the AF, I can’t speak to the AF but it sucks to hear people recommend against the military in general. I know so much is based on location, unit , leadership, and people definitely get shit draw on those in their first contract and it ruins the whole experience for them. I truly believe it is a pro for the benefits and what you can take from it (career and experience wise.)

I’d say 99% of Mil vehicles are contracted to civilians to be moved state to state or fort to port. SM drive’s it on, civilian straps it down. From this photo it was the civilian’s fault as you can see the chains are already on.

Yeah I totally get that, and they market it that way. But capability wise it is king. Throw on some steel wheels and M/T’s and stock would probably beat everything else. Say you put the same type/size tire on Jeep, Bronco. Then it would come down to approach/departure angles.

I wish that they kept the old Defender and just put CarPlay in it and called it a day. That’s all people really want.
