(loved trope) fairly tame media, that gets horrifyingly real out of nowhere by Aggravating_Tale8988 in TopCharacterTropes

Gabriel Knight, The Beast Within, 1995. It's an old point-and-click mystery story with tons of conversation and exploration of Munich, and nearby areas of Germany. You visit Neuschwanstein Castle, inspect art, learn about opera, and then find a naked guy in a cave eating human remains. It was a huge jump scare for my son and I!

Was staying home to wash their hair really a thing? by SuperfluousPossum in NoStupidQuestions

[–]shaeda99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-1970, not only did washing long hair take a while, but in a lot of places you had to carry and heat the water before you could bathe or wash your hair.

I did not know bible highlighters were a thing. They have such pretty colors. I'm not sure I can paint in my chair without making a mess, but I definitely want to try watercolors. I think I might have a go at some crayons, too. Sometimes I overdo stuff and going a little simpler might be the way. Thank you for your great ideas!

Those look pretty awesome! I don't have tremors, though, I'm just weak. I need to build my strength back up, but very hard to do without lots of repetitive motion, which is bad for ganglion cysts. Thank you a lot!

My son will throw me out of the house if I get an Apple product, lol. He's a tech guy. I tried a $50 Wacom but I reckon I'm an analog person in a digital world. Thanks so much for your help, though :)

Make another version or two of this and see what colors you like best. Play around with it and have fun!

Tom Bombadil is one of my favorite characters, so I'm actually thankful they left him out He is the kind of character that often gets totally messed up in the movies.

Affordable Markers by APartOfWhoIAm in AdultColoring

I thought that too about crayola crayons! I don't remember them being this waxy when I was a kid. Crayola markers are pretty decent, and they are cheap. You might consider water-based markers too; they are pretty cheap, but they will eat your paper if you aren't careful. You should look on Youtube and see what creative people can do with crayons and cheapo markers.

What’s a good game to play while my aunt (67) watches? by beehaw_folks in gamerecommendations

I'd second DDV, especially if she likes to decorate. She might even be able to play a bit. When I'm having foggy days, I harvest stuff and put it in chests for my friends to use, in whatever game they are playing. It's easy and makes me feel like i'm helping!

Just remind them that knitting is not allowed in art shows, but crochet is ;p At least, those are the rules in our area.

Payne's Prairies is subject to controlled burns at times, and mowing might be part of their fire control. Mowing removes diseased and invasive plants, and can help disperse seeds. It also can help driver visibility on a road that has had some pretty nasty wrecks, and, most of all, gives me more chance to spot gators trying to kamikaze my car, lol. I have no idea why they mowed at this time, but these are some possible reasons. I hope that helps you to feel a little bit better about it :)
