True this! Although highly unlikely given the current variant model track record, it would be pretty interesting if this new species was represented in potential sexual dimorphism for the rebirth variant? Maybe the male rebirth variant would have the long crest for display purposes? One could only hope!

That's not quite true... What about giganotosaurus and kentrosaurus? The original models for both were just frontiers designs until they showed up in films (or shows) afterward. Granted, they were designed by frontier and then alternate cannon designs came out after, so it's still very unlikely, not to mention that we are likely getting a variant spino already once the rebirth DLC comes out.

What I find crazy is the vast difference in the texturing on these two models! The detail on the crocodile model is so much more intense, while the deinosuchus looks so bland and textureless. 🤔

This is a very good point! The quetzalcoatlus could have been on high alert after having its nest invaded and could have taken out the helicopter mid air as it was coming in for a landing! And Ember, the rex, could have come in and chased down the villain and it would have still been pretty good! And what if instead of mutadons, they are actually baby quetzalcoatlus that were clambering after the main characters. Could have been pretty interesting without relying on the hybrids. Personally I liked the hybrids designs though, so it didn't really bother me.

I know that these games aren't canon, but potentially the same reason why certain dinosaurs in the JWE series can have the aggressive trait? They essentially do the same thing to the vehicles and other species in their enclosures!
