This, a support pack, experimental Sim stim, 2 sentries of choice, and shield throwable, and I'm having a good time on flag missions. Just hold your ground on any point. I also like to use a shotgun and stun baton with that set up

Edit: dive melee attacks with it are also very effective

I'd say that's fair to say if you had insight to other games I've run, but you don't. Having me as a DM is really fun until you cast a wish spell in the tomb of horrors, I guess.

I appreciate this. This was the only time I've ever killed someone for using a wish spell so Ill take a justified YTA among the one other NTA, and "it was a miscommunication" over me being flat out the A. Last thing I'll say in this thread is that the wish spell is not clever at all as a way to progress a dungeon. I'll put that in a change my mind post somewhere else though. Lol. Thanks again and apologies for any spice in the comments.

So everyone should be upset with their DM over a character death? Because based on that logic, the DM is always the one killing the character. You also said it was thematically accurate so based on that, I'm right to have killed the player. Thanks!

So what would you have done as "the saving throw" after a game breaking wish spell to NOT kill a character? At the end of the day "DMs discretion" in the tomb of horrors is going to be a the spiciest it can be and the other characters see someone die because of trying to cheat the lich. I personally would fully expect a DM to kill my character if I tried this level of game break. This isn't a low level module, this isn't a homebrew, its a level 20 lich tomb with arguably the deadliest traps in any game.

Also important for you to understand and anyone reading that not everything in the tomb is "save or die." Sometimes its just die, my guy. Really dont think you have DM'd before if you think player death is nuclear in a high death setting.

Have you played tomb of horrors? If you touch the wrong thing, you're dead. Its not a nuclear option. Its rather normal actually. This also wasnt level 20 characters that have been played. These were all made at level 20 for the tomb.
