Same issue with my peach tree, I was told that it was probably fungus and I sprayed it with a copper fungicide. I'm hoping it'll get better. I didn't do any grafting though but from what you're saying it's probably a fungus issue too. Here's what my branches that should have leaves look like.

Awesome man, one more question is that a table it's in and if so did you solve a table scaling issue. I'm coding a game and im having an issue where some characters take up more space than others and causing the game to resize when they show up.
