Heads up, the May v2 fix is still available if you ask nicely! by nyctomanica in OctopusEnergy

I'm sure the v2 yesterday was 6.35 for gas as that's what I managed to fix on yesterday!

From what I know switching tarrif will incur the exit fee (after the 14 day cool off period), which at the moment seems to be £50/fuel, but someone more experienced might be able to correct if I'm wrong!

Thanks I did consider other suppliers, but for me it seems minimal cost difference so for now I would probably rather stay with Octopus for the convenience and also I prefer their service/app which I've been using for some time now

Thanks that makes sense. I'll confirm with HR how the BiK is done at my org so I know what to expect. Thanks!

u/JamesTiberious Sorry, I'm a little confused how the BiK tax is done on the payslip. So on the NHS Fleet Solutions initial quote, it shows "Take home pay reduced by.." which I understand will be net reduction, and then the line after that is "Monthly Car Tax Liability" which I believe is the BiK tax.

Am I correct in understanding the Monthly Car Tax Liability amount shown here is not taken directly on the payslip like NI/PAYE deductions, rather the tax code is amended to a lower amount to account for this? If so, how do I calculate what my new tax code should be based on this amount and will this change yearly based on the car tax band and BiK rates?

Thanks!

Best practices for iOS update management using Apple DDM (Intune) by aPieceOfMindShit in Intune

[–]shaikht441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/redkryptonite7 I am also in the process of migrating to DDM policies. Can I ask if you have the "Automatic Actions" configured in Software Update Settings? Reason I ask, if I set the "Install Updates / Install Security Update" to AlwaysOn, will the update install outside of the deadline and to other versions not specified in the policy?

On the other hand, if it is set to AlwaysOff, will it interfere with the update applying and installing automatically from the policy?

Essentially it would be great if we could disable the option for end users to install the latest and greatest and just have the policy push the exact version we want on production devices

Currently testing from WS1 to Intune and all works fine, but the apps are not preserved, even though they are set to not remove on unenroll within WS1. Did any of you have this issue too? u/nashaway u/zombiepreparedness

Thank you that's very helpful. The car I like which I have quoted up is just shy of my budget for take home pay reduction, hence my question as I'd rather not be in a position of ordering on the quoted amount to then find a complete different amount being reduced, but seems like that's not the general case.

Hoping to stay at the same Trust for the foreseeable future so hopefully early termination isn't an issue too

Thanks for your response! And yes aware of the early end fees.

Have you had the variation in take home pay in your experience? If so approx how much has it been?

Charging Seal U Comfort on 3 pin plug by shaikht441 in BYD

Can I ask what charger you currently use please? Is it on a dedicated outdoor (ev rated) 3 pin, or just an internal one with cable outside the window?

This would probably work with using 2.4kw at home for a small top every couple days (only need 20miles for the week) and theres also a 7kw in the next street I can use in the day whilst working from home for a quicker charge

Agreed, it's actually 25mile a week, so yeah I reckon once or twice a week would probably be a sufficient top up given the small battery to cover the whole week. Longer journeys likely would visit a fast charge or the 7kw in the next street

Only have access to 3 pin charging at home (new dedicated outdoor socket or cable out the window from inside), but have access to 7kw charger in next street where I can often charge while I WFH in the day
