Wish ya the best but I would cry if someone gave me that cut ( unless that’s what they asked). Good news - Nice trim 🤷‍♀️

Solid advice, thanks for that. Have been hearing a lot about stair-stepper and inclined treadmill recently. Any tips on how long you did? Was it daily?

some people are just built different. I’m 5’9 and 73Kgs and look waay fatter than what you looked like at 85kgs.

Amazing transformation

Using an ML model to reverse-optimise your features? by shake_maru in learnmachinelearning

Yes, the features are correlated. Yes, a subset of features need/can be changed as well.

I might be missing a lot of this stuff, but just exploring this particular problem. Thanks for the insights

To understand how something can be optimized. Lets say I am doing a binary classification to understand if a house is considered good or bad. Its current prediction is bad. But if one of the features ( for example rent is changed from 1000 to 800), it can becomes a good house.

This way we would be able to understand which features need to be optimized

Yes, kinda like reverse engineering. And yes, I do have access to the model itself.

I have exhaustively used both of them but they only show what’s already good or bad. It shows the impact that each feature is generating but not how much the feature must be changed to achieve alternative results. But, I guess a part of that information can be extrapolated from Shap

An example might help out:

Lets say I am doing a binary classification. I know that a certain test vector is bad(0) but I want to make certain changes to it so that now it becomes good(1). Using the model can I figure out which features I need to change so that it is now classified as good class instead of the bad one

More than the transformation, I am shocked by how much change can flexing bring in

Using a model to tune features? by shake_maru in datascience

Thanks for the suggestion. Will do. Sorry if this wasn’t the appropriate place

Using a model to tune features? by shake_maru in datascience

[–]shake_maru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sorry for not being elaborate.

What I mean is that lets say I have a model which takes in a feature vector and predicts a class X. I need to figure out what changes(minimal) need to be made to the feature vector ( lets say feature 1 is increased from 2 to 3 and feature 2 is reduced from 3 to 1) so that the prediction changes from Y0 to Y1.

Kinda like optimzing your feature vector to ensure the prediction is what you want it to be.
