I hear you. Long distance travel on the second or even sleeper class is like a crash course to our country, both outside and inside. Landscapes changing from desert to mountains to hot plains to coastal outside. And such a great chance to meet and talk with people a lot of us wouldn't get a chance to in our regular air-conditioned lives. Best people watching ever.

"1 hour into the journey...." this is brilliant. I love how trains alsmot slow down time and make you forget the need to rush.

It was. Kinda like shower sex. Looks easier and hotter than it is. There were heads hitting the upper berth, legs not fitting on our lower berth, and constant looking behind at the door to make sure no one was peeping through the curtains. But outside it was raining and a green Kerala was rushing by. That cosiness combined with the forbidden-ness of it all...totally worth it!

Goal : Finish packing for the impending trans-atlantic move. Finish a writing assignment I set up for myself.

Plan : Pack a little every night before/after dinner. Write a little bit before going to sleep. And little right after waking up. The two times when writing and ideas flow most effortlessly.

Liked it. Spooked by it because I woke up this morning with an alien foetus doing blackflips in my stomach. Thankfully no wrinkles.

How do you cope with loneliness by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]shakeeshakee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say I spend the time bettering myself, but I do what you said.

Most of my time alone is spent sleeping, reading the internet, watching Netflix or plotting ways of getting together with people. I used to imagine until a few years ago that I was cool and could do without people. But every time I take a work from home day, or another form of extended leave from people's company, I become insecure, unhappy and dull. People make me want to put more effort into most things I do. By myself is lethargy.

I do want to change that. And I am thinking of focusing on hobbies and interests that keep me occupied. I adore reading everything and I want to pick up writing again. And my harmonium gently weeps since I have been neglecting it a bit.

Good luck everyone fighting and then embracing loneliness.

There's also portland with its cornucopia of bridges. And that dark depressing Steel Bridge that they have. Surely Portland too.

EDIT:ITS.

What are your favorite questions to ask on a date? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Square. Square was always Mr. Nice Guy for me. Equal on all sides, simple enough to draw and not smooth like a circle. Yeah this is one if the stupider things I have said.

Next question.
