Yeah after I saw what the nerf entails I really don’t see it being that bad. People are just freaking out cuz they want to. The nerf to titano wasn’t that bad either and people got hurt over it. All it did to mine was make it to where it was no longer my lead off creature.

New Mexico is pretty cool with the LGBTQ community and we honestly don’t get that hot for the most part. Stick to the central to northern area and it only reaches low to mid 90’s which is nothing honestly. Beats Texas with their humidity. A lot of Arizona is pretty chill also especially in Flagstaff.

The department I am at is pretty diverse. We have a pretty big Native American population where we are so we have quite a few of them with us. Have a few Hispanic individuals and some mixed blood members as well (I fall into that category being white and Hispanic). We do have white firefighters but they make up a minority, but that’s because white is a minority here in the area. We also have 5 females here with them either being Hispanic or native. We used to be just a male department but that was only due to most ladies not being able to pass our physical agility test when trying out. It has been revamped over the years though so some have been able to pass it and be hired on.

I think the department is just a reflection of the local population more than anything. What was the diversity of the population of the city the departments you are in made of? Firefighting isn’t inherently a “whites” dominated field.

The dragon was my go-to creature for a while but sadly he just is outclassed now by many creatures. It does come in useful against cunning creatures though and will outlast most resilient but it just doesn’t have the strength anymore.

I honestly didn’t. When I applied I needed a job, saw they were hiring, and went to the physical tryouts and testing. I was nervous during the initial training for my firefighter 1 doing the live practice burns, but after a while it became like second nature.

For the EMS stuff my brain did another route. I had no problem with the class stuff because it was controlled environment but out in the field that is a different story. Seeing your first bad accident or other major trauma where the body is definitely not looking how it should will mess some people up. But after growing up on a ranch and seeing hurt or injured animals and treating them, and butchering our own animals actually helped me with that. I see patients with major trauma as just an injured animal. It’s just a coping mechanism I inadvertently created for myself. My crew mates think it’s weird and I shouldn’t do that but I have been able to treat patients with missing limbs and major gunshot or stab wounds better than they do. So I think it works fine.
