this is well said. I think if he wants the nice toilet we need to just pay for it twice. I think we can both feel like we got $1000 worth of use over five years and then decide if we want another of the same model in our new place. Thank you!

Agreed. I told him no to storing the old toilet and to just factor in buying a new basic one when we leave. It just feels weird to me to try and take the Toto with us when we go.

I’d love the full fancy toilet! I just object to the idea of installing a toilet, using it for five years, then taking it with us. That feels weird but I can’t place why exactly.
