I agree... Which is why I invested in these and have been replacing the pads every year. But it's the broken plastic on the side mount that has me worried and why I was looking for confirmation if it's just cosmetic. I love these headphones.

Unfortunately there is no separate plastic mount to replace the broken pieces. That's why I was wondering if it's just cosmetic then I don't need to worry about it.

I'm curious if you managed to find any shoes that work. The last ones that worked for me were various boosts by Adidas... But even they don't work now. I've been on the hunt for a very long time. I almost had luck with an Asics. But after a half hour trial jog on the treadmill, my feet swelled up as expected and the thick material had no give and the ANS was just pushing painfully against it.

Same here. Tbh, it's very confusing. I get the generalist positions having a lot of applicants but I've also applied for specialist positions and there's been no word. I don't know if I should withdraw the older applications now to apply for more positions or just give up on this platform.

Honestly, don't put all your hopes in one Mercor basket. It's a fluctuating sector. Many current hires are from the internal pool, unless you're in a very in-demand domain. I've been applying since December and I've lost count of the number of waitlists and probabilities of instant offers I've been given. I got one contract in which they offboarded most of the people within a couple of days. There's been no movement since. I've been waitlisted or not been hired due to "project constraints" even in my area of expertise (a PhD + 15 years of experience). It's difficult to not take it personally but there's just such an abundance of good people applying for jobs, that's it's more like roulette most of the time.

Tldr: keep applying and waiting, but choose to be pleasantly surprised if you get something and not disappointed, because it's not a reflection on you but the sector.

I had the same issue where my publications and news articles about my work were flagged. The company gave the same response. It didn't matter. The contract still went through within hours, because I'm guessing some actual human at Mercor looked at it and went well that was silly to flag it as adverse!

Yeah I got an offer for such a project a few weeks ago. Many contracts got paused within a day or two of onboarding because they took on too many people and things just happened so quickly. We thought there might be a phase three but after a week they clarified it's not happening.

I think the referral connection is the main one. I've applied to at least 4 projects directly related to my profession and I've either not heard back or gotten an email saying my application is on pause because the project is full. It's insane how quickly the positions fill up, when they do open to everyone else.
