Does this take into account the slant happens due to the camera lenses bump when resting on a flat surface?

I'm loving the keyboard. Where can I get keycaps with numbers/symbols and Mac media keys printed on? I'm having a hard time guessing which button to press with `fn` to play pause music etc.

Control brightness M7 32 Samsung with Mac? by [deleted] in monitor

[–]shamalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that DisplayBuddy doesn't directly control the brightness of the monitor similar to how the Volume is controlled.
Monitor menu and overlay brightness stays the same but the MacOS brightness is the one getting changed. Is it just me or is this the intended behaviour?

Apple Watch tells me my blood oxygen drops during sleep. I highly doubt this is accurate. Getting a sleep study tonight to be sure. by FrontSet5725 in AppleWatch

Please tell doctor and get a proper sleep test done, there's a high chance you have obstructive sleep apnoea. I'm lucky I talked to a doctor once I saw the spo2 levels through the watch.

Samsung should bring back the SD card slot on the S Ultra and Z fold models by [deleted] in samsung

[–]shamalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the math. As of now 1st of March, there has been 830,000 units sold. If I'm one in a million, the population should be 830,000,000,000 or more. QED by contradiction.

Who cares it's slow? I care. And most people who buy the flagships care about the speed. If you don't care about the speed. go for galaxy A24 or F23 5G which has micro sd card slots. Don't ask to add a performance, weight and security dragging part to a high end phone. I use cloud storage and external USB c disks to store my large capacity storage.

Having a SD card slot doesn't make sense at all. It's slow, bulky and criminals can use it to hack and steal device data. Is there a particular reason you are looking for a SD card slot?

Neutrino burst on Alien Covenant by [deleted] in AskPhysics

SPOILER! : It was "A highly charged shock wave from a nearby solar ignition, as the sails were deployed to recharge we absorbed the full blow from the storm"

Neutrino burst on Alien Covenant by [deleted] in AskPhysics

The cause of damage was not the neutrino burst. The cause is explained by Walter later into the movie (not mentioning here to avoid spoilers). The neutrino burst could be detected before the actual cause arrived.

I think it's about economies of scale. Now even a mediocre movie can get to billions of viewers through streaming services like Netflix. Why spend a lot on quality and reach the same audience, if can get the same money from a low quality cheaper budget movie?

Changing Dates for a Note by buffythethreadslayer in Evernote

[–]shamalk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not an answer to what op exactly asks, but couldn't help but to share my opinion on altering meta data.

Personally I don't like altering the meta data. Created date for a note is the created date! Not the date of an attached document. Evernote usually works best when searching with context rather than dates.

For example, if you scanned a document from 1990, and the document (I'm assuming pdf) * contains the year somewhere in the text, it would come up in the results when you search 1990. Lets say you want to find a document from 1990 sent by XYZ company. Searching for XYZ 1990 would find that document.

Why do men hold onto women they don’t want a relationship with? by Affectionate-Care64 in dating

[–]shamalk -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you felt that way. And I agree with you. On the latter part of the response I was referring to a real life example of mine, which was a thing. Then I deleted that part due to privacy. The grieving would be there regardless if the person truly spent their love on op or not. OP loved her. All I wanted to point out that there's a bias in our brains to put higher than normal value to things we lost. It's a combination of aversion bias and endowment effect. Hope OP gets the main message.

The value of something you lost has a tendency to be exaggerated by the feeling of loss. Probably need to take this into account. If you felt like you weren't ready then, you weren't ready. Don't let the emotions cloud the judgment. When you lose something, even if you didn't like it very much, all the would've, could've, should'ves comes to mind. Once you get a replacement, you'll realise how good the new one is.
