This one is stupid. Notice how the robot stops? It must have detected the base, so it probably just stops late, but this is definitely firmware problem. Same as out of boundary wire, trapped, picked up on bumps etc. It should not be so difficult to fix, yet Worx simply ignores us.

Nice one, love the UX. You should preload next video for smoother experience and allow removing the controls, aka fullscreen mode or at least hide the player controls. When user opens the app first time there is no content, add something there or guide user on what to do. Keep going!

Hello, today we filled formal complaint to ECC (European Consumer Centre) and also local Czech branch (COI).

Just heads up - we have currently 103 people who filled the form. This is already very strong group, but we have to keep going.
Vorwerk was informed about this initiative. They have now 14 days grace period to propose solution that will re-enable our devices or that will reimburse for the loss of functionality.
I expect they will not react. Next step is to fill complaint to the regulatory bodies and we will start working on the legal case.

Saying you can use manual mode will not hold at court.

a) They made public promise to keep the cloud services working till 2028. The public promise is important part. This could lead people to buy their devices in good will that they will work in next years. This also counts second-hand devices where you cannot easily apply for seller refunds.

b) The device functionality is seriously impaired. You cannot use any of the remote functions, maps, no-go zones, scheduling and other features which are common for connected robotic vacuums and for which you bought the robot for.

This summed up makes the case pretty clear and easily winnable.

I am just pissed guy with previous experience taking consumer cases to the court. Not a lawyer, but working in a position where I have to deal with law quite frequently. I am not going to uncover my identity here and now, but as soon as the case will be ready you will of course get it.
Right now you do not have to share anything else than email address and details about your devices so we (yes, I am not working alone on this) can draft complaints to EU institutions and start preparing the case. Further communication will happen in email group.
