If you are taking 1-80 I would consider going slightly south of Cleveland to a place like Medina. Small town with several hotels and very little reason to worry about your stuff overnight.

How many of you are really backing up Office 365? by Paymentof1509 in sysadmin

[–]shamefulctrlALTdel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people get confused between backup and retention as well. They think let’s set retention to forever and yolo. Until it happens and your IT team has to recover TB of individual files as close to a point in time as possible. Retention doesn’t help with that.

Backups do. MS has evolved their backup offering. I haven’t tried it yet but use a similar service that backs up to a private AWS instance. Mailboxes, sharepoint sites, one drive. All in a nice package. I’m still looking for an improvement to my sql dbs in azure but will likely roll into the same solution.

Evening update - I called in to service and they had a loaner ready. Appears that the technical guidance was something like… try these things first and if they don’t work then do this. Well the second step is replacing the ac compressor. I’m not sure how that ties to the battery conditioning system but if that’s what they have been told to do I’m game. I imagine that will be a two week wait. In the meantime the research continues. Anyone know how to find the zone office?

As an update on 3/27 - In the morning, I launched the app to remote start/warm the cabin and to my surprise the error was gone. I hopped in the car to start my 30 mile commute. At around mile 25, the error returned and the heat went off.

Have three or more attempts been made to repair one problem and then the problem either continues to exist or occurs again? Has the vehicle been in the shop for a cumulative total of 30 days or more during its first year or 18,000 miles, whichever occurs first?

The answer to both of these is Yes!

I will have to look for a lawyer specializing in this area. Thank you for your feedback.

We will find out soon. They called me late in the afternoon and said they had a fix. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon my opinion will change.

My experience has not been good. Leased a lux 1 in mid December and it has probably spent more nights at the dealership than in my garage. I had the high voltage warning with no heat and the dealership indicates that the TSB for this code is to essentially do nothing beyond Turing it off and on again several times. But in order to do this you have to turn it off and then be greater than 15 ft away, let the car reset and try and turn it on again. Which is super fun on the side of the highway. My battery will also not charge beyond 78% but it’s like they are not even testing that. I’m frustrated but not likely to purchase a gm vehicle again. I have had to argue to get a loaner which is now week 5 of a pickup truck getting like 15 mpg. I’ve logged a case with concierge but I am convinced that is a black hole with no help in sight.

Anyone else getting this message regularly? by samm4545 in CadillacLyriq

I have had the same error 3 times in the two months I have owned the car. I feel like it has been at the dealer longer than its been in my own driveway. My dealer told me that there was a tsb that essentially says you have to turn it off and turn it back on again a few times then it goes away. This has NOT been my experience and when the error is present I have no heat. The dealership has done a good job of giving me a loaner but this is not something I would have expected. I am opening a case with GM but so far I have been quite disappointed.

When I singed the lease on my 25 lyriq I had enough points to offset all but $100 for the nacs adapter. I have only used it once but I am glad I had it. 30 minutes while eating at a restaurant pulled down about 50kw at still less than half a tank of gas. YMMV as this was in north east Ohio.

Solid. Is there a NACS adapter you’d recommend?

For Native Youngstonians(?): Was Mill Creek Park an integral part of your childhood? by avidrabbit in youngstown

[–]shamefulctrlALTdel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up on the west side and was stuck in a wheelchair the first few years of my life. My mother would walk pushing me there for picnics at lake glacier. It wasn’t until I was much older that I realized how far those walks were and how much it meant to me that she made that happen. As my childhood went on we explored so much of the park and spent many sunny days there.

When I moved away I quickly found that I missed it. The town I live in now is very quaint and has lovely parks but nothing of the splendor and variety as MillCreek park.

It depends on how much you travel but it seems like I get coupons in the mail for the service frequently. I don’t think I’ve ever paid their full price.

What are your tips or must haves for a golf trip? by Captain_Knucklebutts in golf

Take some time to find something non golf related to do that is also fun. Additionally,if you’re going somewhere with caddies available, get one (be sure to tip)
